Stock: The oil kings are the best stock switches I have tried so far mainly due to the polished stems and excellent factory lube. I also did not notice any spring ping stock.
After manual lubing (205g0) and filming: In terms of sound, they are a bit deeper and more muted than china joys, more similar to the ink blacks. In terms of feel, the oil kings aren’t as smooth as the china joys but not as scratchy as the ink blacks. It's around in between but closer towards the china joys. The bottom out is softer and more muted compared to the china joys, more similar to the ink blacks. As shown earlier, the stem wobble control is excellent, no complaints there. Finally, I noticed that the extended springs allowed for a faster upstroke compared to the other two switches. This gives the impression of a snapier, more responsive typing feel. Overall, these are amazing deeper-sounding midrange switches, almost like a buffed version of ink blacks yet, at a cheaper price. Highly recommend you check them out!

Most plastic tray mount boards have a pretty inconsistent sound between areas of the keyboard, and besides its mostly the keyboard itself that changes the sound so putting expensive switches in a cheap keyboard wouldnt make it sound good automatically

I have L+F Ink Black V2s and from your sound test I can't really tell much of a difference. Definitely sticking with mine. Used to run some lubed OG Holy Pandas using Invyr housings, but then I switched to using only linears. Vintage Blacks are overrated IMO especially for what some people are charging. I really need to go on r/mm and resell the switches I'm no longer using.

Overall these switches are smoother and more consistent compared to akko switches. In addition, they feature a unique deep tone which most other switches do not have. Akko switches are amazing for their price but these are also a solid deal. All comes down to personal preference though

@@thunderarch5951 ig but comparing them to other ink variants and like almost all jwks (that are designed to get a similar sound signature) i would say they are pretty worth it. Akko switches are on the scratchier and more basic sound signature side from what i have tried, better than like a ks3 regardless tho. In terms of 60 dollars for like 90 i do agree i would probably go to tecsee switches, however you cant deny gateron hasnt stepped up their game recently
