Another great one. Antares is calling me.. And so are the Algoryn. They remind me too much of the Turian mass effect species. (which is good!)

+Malev Da Shinobi Thank you :) The Algoryn are my favourite too and I agree they are very Turian in their aesthetics. There is also some plastic kits for them on the horizon as well!

Hi TWG, thanks for the very good tutorial. :-) As I have just finished priming a handful of Algoryn troopers, I was wondering if Chaotic Red is not so good as a primer, as e. g. black or white. I primed some models in these colours before the Algoryn (although they were plastic, not metal) and the result of coverage seemed to be better. Chaotic Red seems to have flaked of on some parts while transporting the miniatures a few meters. Do you have any experience?

+Mark M. (manitoujoe) Nope, the Army Painter sprays are in themselves primers and not just coloured sprays. Makes prepping much quicker!

How do you remove the metal base attached to their feet?

I use some clippers to cut around the feet and then file down beneath the feet.

It seems that the Army Painter colour sprays are too much of a Semi-Gloss and do not let the inks do their proper job.

+Steven Kenniff To be fair the primer is much more matt than it is in this video. The lighting/camera set up did give it an impression of being much more glossy than it was in person. If you take a look at any of my more recent Gates of Antares videos you will see the difference.
