Now this, is is spectacular. The biome variety is immaculate, the placement of everything finally looks natural and more than just 90% jungle. The ai looks promising too, and I can't wait for it to be more fleshed out.

Man, Gateway looks great. Fantastic lighting and atmosphere; UE5 really improved things. The clouds and the mist overshadowing the mountains looks breathtaking from a distance. Love the fact that reflecting eyes are back for night, they really added to the horror atmosphere in Legacy. Hopefully performance is stable and that most of the optimization issues, combat lag and AI & ability bugs that were prevalent in Spiro are gone for good here. The only things that worry me so far are the unresponsive NPCs/AI dinos and a lack of biome variety (again.)

Looks like a lot of places to explore. The migration system will help in finding where we need to be instead of blindly wondering through a forest until we get our bearings.

For added immersion make the foliage move as you touch it. I'm sure we all know what it's like in the movies when the trees start moving and you know a Trex is coming when you hear the long grasses russling and there's a raptor on your face. We need that for sure.

Speaking of Gateway update(Stress Test, not public release) itself: Some visual and lighting bugs/errors, minor things. I really like Migration scent icon! At moment you cannot mistake it for something else and it is clear what it could mean. Good thing also it widens as you get close or are inside Migration Zone.

One thing I'm a little concerned about with this map is that it might be a bit too mountainous. I just see myself breaking legs left and right, falling off cliffs, having weird fights where I get stuck on things and problems with omni, troodon and pachy fighting on sloped ground (yeeting yourself off when pouncing/headbutting). I haven't really spotted many open plains. What was your impression? Anyway really liked the comment less video and the focus on the atmosphere!

what are u talking lol, are u one of the open areas(twins/waterfall) cancer dwellers who just goes there to sit and chat and make a.i spawn and lag server? we need mountains, and also punish open areas, way too many players go to open areas and just make server lag, on top make forest area useless and have no purpose into the game wasting resources.

the problem is open areas, causes more harm to the game than cliffs/bushes, it can easily be fixed with a simple unstuck solution if for example u get stuck somewhere. bushes? get gud, falling off a cliff? have more map awareness and dont just run straight lines. @@Lazy_Onyon

@@helioshyperion8077 hiding a whole canyon behind thick bushes is bad map design, not bad map awareness when i literally cannot see the cliff at all. Not everyone memorises whole map and know where exactly it is, which shouldn't even work like that. The fact that I cannot see it while being right in front of it, even when aware of it, unless im already falling because bushes are literally on my whole screen is bad design.
