From Fresno/Clovis here. Went to Christian Camp and Calvin Crest in the 80s. Hiked Fresno dome a number of time over the years. Great video :)

Wow that brought back old memories. I haven't been to the top of Fresno dome in years. I might have to take my grandson up soon. We used to visit billy dew meadows, and hike to Star Lakes. We also did weekenders at Miami creek when we used to ride. Love your content and Lunches. Hope to see you on trail some day.

What a very cool community surrounded by natural beauty. Great to get a little better lay of the land. Thanks. Are reservations needed just to enter the park ? Will be re-watching "Angel falls" to compare water flow.

There's a couple more places I might try to highlight near Bass Lake that are cool if I have time before the seasons over. Thanks for checking it out! 😊 Yes, permits are required if you're entering between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. That's one reason I started my last hike at 6 a.m. The reservations can book up and are not conducive to last-minute inspiration. 😅

We only ever came in the south side once. Was nice to see some of the town. We didn't hang for long was to excited to get to our spot. Bear grylls' show is entertaining but not the best survival advice for the avg joe. Les Stroud's show may not be as exciting but he'll keep a normal guy alive without needing to drink your own pee..😂 Great vid and interesting lunch as always my friend! I'm glad I found your channel. My new #1! Ithink I need to watch maybe one or two more and I've seen em all! Been fun to watch so many since I been out of work on temp disability since the end of Apr.

I'm happy you found my channel, too. Like my meals, it may be an aquired taste.😊 I hope you're able to recover soon. I learned how to eat the big black ants that we have here from an episode Bear did in the Sierra Nevadas, If you're ever in a pinch. Les is my favorite!

@@theyosemiteguyd fun fact you prolly already know I would imagine, in the movie The Great Outdoors lake Potowotominimac was actually Bass Lake and I don't remember the name of the resort in either real life 80's or the movie but used that too. One of my favorite movies ever! Thought that was so awesome when I found out

Yes! The great outdoors is an amazing movie. The bar scenes were shot at ducey’s on the lake. It burned down not long after the movie was released but they rebuilt it not long after that and is still there. I love watching the lake scenes from the movie though. Especially John Candy water skiing. 😂😂😂
