I saw this back when Stargate had a KZbin Stargate rewatch show. I miss that show and the associated chat. Talking to other fans, writers, stars etc. of Stargate was a lot of fun.

As a life long SciFi fan, I honestly think this is one of the ALL TIME ( pun intended) time travel stories I've ever seen. It took me 3 views to wrap my head around it. One of the best Gate episodes period! 🇨🇦🖖🍻

A Kino episode that wasn't necessary. Anyone who'd watched SG-1 and the TV episode could easily understand the episode. If not anyone who has seen virtually any time loop story in sci-fi.

Loved this take. What gets me is that the Ancients would've observed the effects of a solar flare on gate travel, to understand time. There was an episode on Atlantis where they go back in time. Wish this was explored a little more. Wish there was more SGU.

I figured that's what was going to happen. I never thought that there needed to be anything more. In my opinion, the end was perfect. A fantastic episode! That being said, I am a veteran sci-fi viewer. So maybe the casual audience member might expect more.

I always felt that the ending made it fairly obvious how things played out. I suppose it was a bit strange that no character ever mentions the events in any future episode, but you can say that about many episodes. It is one of the few episodes that can be considered "stand-alone", although I wouldn't say there is no character development, because we get a small insight into Greer's intolerance for his own perceived failure.

It kind of makes sense that it's never mentioned again. Witnessing something like that happening to you, even though it was an alternate you, you really wouldn't want to think about it again let alone bringing it up in conversation.

@@TheKonkaman That makes sense ... for back then, but that's not the case now. As you brought up VPN, we have a plethora of VPNs now to pick from to get around locked regions. Are there any reasons with today's tech and platforms on why you would want to avoid webisodes? (Just curious)

Vpns have always been around and the companies selling the VPN program is not an actual VPN and can be worked around real vpns are usually offered by your isp. Dns is a decent way work around region lock but has limits

Stargate universe should have been much more than what it was and although it turned into a drama, it was more real than any other Stargate and if it had more time to flesh itself out rather than stick to some minor personal inquiries, it would have gone much further

I really liked the episode and felt it was clear that a 2nd keynote would derail the origonal events so wan't left feeling any negative feelings at all. It was one of the episodes that drew me into SGU more.

So, did I understand you correctly that there was some edition or version of physical media sold of SGU that included some of the Kino webisodes but NOT this one (and some others)? Really?!?! Because THIS webisode is arguably the MOST important because of how important it is to explaining/resolving "Time"! I didn't know that any of the webisodes were ever included on any release of the physical media.

When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be a post-credit scene for the final episode of the series, which ended with every crew member except Eli going into stasis. While I watched every episode of SGU when it first aired, I have forgotten most of the details from most of the episodes of that series. I had no memory of the episode from this video, but now I think I might want to go back and watch it again. I really hope that they make a new Stargate series in the not-too-distant future. That will happen eventually, I just hope it is a continuation of Stargate and not a reboot.

Didn't know the webisode existed but have watched SGU through a few times. Like that the show runners gave the fans enough intellectual credit to not have to spoon feed every little minutia to the audience. That is one of the major problems with the entertainment factory now in days... and the KZbinrs who "explain" tings in a movie or TV show that a 3rd grader could figure out if they sat there and watched instead of screwed around on the phone or smoked meth while watching.

Honestly, how were the Web-episodes were not added to at a minimum the Blu-ray sets or as Extra footage for the DVD set absolutely sucks! I was never able to watch it when it was aired... How disappointing. One of the things I absolutely *loved* about that episode was the fact that they *solved* the mystery and had a complete solution. The audience has seen enough portrayals of this sort of thing before to see through to the end and know what *would* have been shown if only they had more time to show it, so why bother? I specifically *loved* this because it respected the intelligence of the audience. Now you go and ruin it by saying they did go ahead and show the superfluous epilogue of the plot after all.

great episode a learning experience a test for that group to elanr from a mistake and find a proper fix to the situation, a literal learning curve, for something yet to come a way home maybe in one timeline they used the blue star as the extreme power source and a flare from that same star to go back to earth but what time will they arrive in the past or the future are their descendants the real abydosians a causality loop, why the symbols hidden in the city were so perfectly made, or to a world thousands of years later with tech that make the nox the ancients look like cavemen in comparison.

I recently picked up a copy of this series and getting set to rewatch it. It was the last set to finish my SG collection. This episode, well let's say you brought the memory back. In answer to your question, no I don't think we needed the webisode. It was good to leave us with a little mystery.

Time is just one of the best episode of Stargate, all 3 shows considered, and that's it. It's the episode that got me to be an inconditional fan of this stargate despite the controversial moments on earth and that really got me to be pissed off by the online campaign started by people i can't describe how low i see their IQ was without risking being banned on most social media. If you weren't convinced of the potential of SGU after this episode and proceeded to bash the show, you simply can't call yourself a stargate fan.

That was an excellent episode and it showed what SGU could have been. They just lingered on the drone thread FAR too long and just couldn't seem to carry the series forward once they got stuck on it. The drones should have been no more than half a season and then done... But no. I miss Stargate and SGU. It's too bad we will never get it back the way it once was. Like everything else, if it DOES come back... I expect it will end up as a woke pile of crap that just isn't even worthy of even being aired, but hey... I might be wrong. I hope I am... but I'd rather have the Stargate we once knew and loved over a shiny new woke pile of crap that just ruins the memory of a once stellar series.

Time travel is the worsts part of Stargate and it’s not consistent with parallel universes. Both are useful for story telling, but as Carter explained in on of the episodes going back in time to make changes would mean creating a different reality. The idea of going back in time to get a ZPM means that you get it and create another reality while you’re gone from the reality you left. And the idea of having access to time travel but not using it in fear of making changes unless you have an idea for an episode where everyone casually agrees to use. And don’t even think about people disappearing with a poof of smoke one by one when somebody is changing the last.
