Its nice to see more of the "background" people and characters talk more. We rarely get their stories their impression or stories of the day-to-day stuff and the multiple story ideas that they were going to be a part of in later seasons if the show continued.

I would love to know how much she knows about where her character was going. I'm sure they've told her a bit more than she let on here, even if it wasn't completely worked out they did have a pretty detailed outline for season six. Probably wasn't gonna be anything earth shattering, but I feel like it probably would have been important for Ronan's character development. Shepherd had Lorne and Rodney had Radick, both of their right hands outside of the team itself, it would've been interesting to see something like that for Ronan, particularly if it wasn't romantic which it seems honest certain it would have

Not really MGM's fault, but rather the poor ratings forcing the Sci Fi/Syfy channel (owned by NBC Universal) to pull the plug.

Am I the only one to think that Sharon Taylor and actress Maggie Q look very much alike? (I only mean physically). I had to look up the cast roll for Die Hard 4 because I could have sworn it was Sharon Taylor in there (in the role of Mai Linh). But of course it wasn't.

This is something I wish all series shows would do better: Give more bits to the supporting cast, fill out their characters more, use them better. In the Stargate shows and many other great sci-fi and fantasy franchises, we get some neat supporting characters, and fans love them. We'd love to see them used more. This is how it would work in a real setting.

The reason why I prefer SGA over SG-1 was because the secondary and tertiary characters were more active.
@hoshireed773 жыл бұрын
But SG-1's secondary characters had or illicited the best lines... Maybourne, you're an idiot every day of the week! Couldn't you have taken one day off?
@hawkins553 жыл бұрын
I respectfully disagree. Almost all the female Goa'uld hosts looked gorgeous! Ba'al was very handsome. Other system lords were colorful! Many off-world humans were also good looking! Even the Asgards looked cute, etc. ,etc.
@hoshireed773 жыл бұрын
@@hawkins55 Interesting definition of "active" you have. Though I think the OP had in mind how active the characters are in actual plot, and not what you envision with your "active" imagination and libido. I don't think anyone but you consider looks as a part of what make a "bigger role" for a character.
@hawkins553 жыл бұрын
@Hoshi Reed Haha!😅I just can't read. Got a dull imagination also. Nothing to do with libido. 😂. Still like SG1 more. It had the advantage of 10 seasons to develop the both main characters & some secondary characters and the back stories. The mythology also seemed more richly built. Love the way secondary characters get recurring appearances in different adventures.
@hoshireed773 жыл бұрын
@@hawkins55 I prefer SG1 too. The characters have great build up and quotes, which to me is better than screen time "active". Mayborne and Ba'al weren't around a lot but you wanted to strangle them anyways. Yeah, I wanted to strangle Kavanagh too but he was less "active" and was just there to annoy.
@MMC-jp1gl2 жыл бұрын
I thought is odd that a secondary character like Amelia who only got a nod from Woolsey every so often jumped up so quick to the main team at the last shot of the series. It would have made sense at the end of a regular episode or if the next season were in the bag but to end it with that seemed off and yes a sign of things to potentially come. Although I am glad to hear that Ronan finally got a love interest...poor thing:+( God bless~

I generally lose interest in sci-fi if the characters pair off/ get romantic. If a romance becomes 'important' to the story, I won't consume it. It's ok if it's far removed from the main idea and one can skip it, but if a character's romance can't be ignored, then I will leave it. Romance in SG-1 was incidental and far removed. The idea of romance in the last seasons of Atlantis was not beneficial.
