Al seems tired and maybe he doesn't feel well during this video. He did say his neck hurt and he did mention he was tired. But he still chopped wood and helped get it in the truck. He's a legend. Diego, thank you for being a good friend to Al and helping him with the wood. I know he helps you, just the same. You both are lucky to have each other. God bless you both, and may God protect Nala and keep her healthy as well as the rest of the family. Hi to Julia!

So happy to see you helping an elderly gentleman with getting his firewood for the winter. I know he appreciates it and there aren't too many young men and women like you today that would go out of their way and take time out to help someone else out

Bless you! Being older myself, there is no way I’d get by without the kind and generous help of my neighbors! You will never really know what a difference you make in someone’s life! When your older yourself, you be like, I wish I did more ❤️ I started to watch after seeing you with the forest service man. Your kindness shown through. As we say here in the South, “You were raised, RIGHT.”

Bu videoda komşu Al'ın ormandaki şebekeden bağımsız kulübesi için kışlık yakacak odun toplamasına yardım ediyorum. Mülkünden düşen ağaçları kullanarak Nissan pikapıyla 1 kamyonet yükü topluyoruz. Al yakın zamanda 84 yaşına girdi ve 1977'de Washington eyaletinin kırsal kesimindeki mülkünü satın aldığından beri her yıl aynı rutini izliyor. O benim için gerçek bir ilham kaynağı. Umarım bu video başkalarına içlerindeki Al'ı bulma konusunda ilham verir.

Diego you spend a lot of time cutting on the tip . That is where it kicks back the easiest and that ain’t no little battery chainsaw you are playing with. Your old saw you would have to really work to get seriously hurt but this new saw things will happen a lot quicker and the results are gonna be much worse. Bend a little and get off the tip. I was taught to use an old pioneer chainsaw I had trouble lifting at 13 years old by a 60 year old man and his eighty year old father who could still split wood just like Al. While the good thing is them chaps may come in handy !

Bless that little girls heart. Al seems to be holding his own. Ah the old wood cook stove. Most today would never believe this but some of the best food I ever had was cooked off an old wood cook stove. Home made bread. Fresh baked apple pie. I know people still to this day that only cook on a wood cook-stove even in the summer. Yep even when it is 102 F they cook on their wood cook stove. Diego you split wood like I do. There was this old man that was watching me split and never said a word till I was done. Then he tells me to have a seat on a log I did not split. He said Son Wrap a wire coat hanger around the axe handle and the mall handle close to the axe head and mall head. Then he showed me how to do it and I wasn't sure why. I asked him WTH for and he pulled out some pictures of a guy that had to have a couple operations on his back shoulders and elbow. He said son that man was splitting like you. I said how well did you know the guy and he said well son I knew him all my life that guy was me. You wont notice much the first few times maybe with splitting with the wire wrapped but in time you will and thank me for telling you about it.
