Some of my fondest memories have been from a day cutting firewood with friends and family. Hemlock with a lot of knots is one of the toughest splitting woods there is I believe.

Diego you are so fortunate to have Ale as your friend. That is one scary hill I would be afraid to travel let alone carry or drag logs would take skill that Mr. has. I'm 65 and I live the same way Al does, I'm happy he does things his own way and continues to enjoy it! I heat my place with wood, though I have a splitter to make things go a bit faster. My gf works with clay so I built her a studio when she moved it which I also heat with wood for her. I'm going to build a sauna after I saw Al's. Thanks for making and posting these, it's great to get people to really understand, this is the way we all used to live. Conservation was a way of life, not consumerism. Ask yourselves, if OSHA really cared about us all, they'd go after whomever's financing the chemtrail program, spraying us all like bugs on a daily basis. Or the UN, 75 years they've been around and many of their core tenets, (ending war and famine) have failed miserably, but they continue with a budget in the billions. Anyway, hopefully many get the point, there is a simpler way to live and be in tune with your soul while advocating for those with no voice, nature/animals, you can't go wrong.

TIM from Canada if you’re gonna be out in the bush like this cutting stuff with your battery chainsaw invest in some sort of little gas generator. get yourself a heavy duty waggon you can tow everything with you. Having a mini generator will help you in the bush to charge up your batteries.

You guys all cut and block just like we used to do. When fuel oil went high in the 70s, we could not afford to heat our old house. So we went to wood. Three of us would cut a m total of 6 PU trucks of wood on a Sunday. I’d cut, our friend pulled the logs I cut out, and my Dad would block. We were finished cuttin😮g we would help Dad. We all heated with wood stoves. The safety crew would have had a fit. I had a Stihl AV 71. Loved it. A full tuck was when the reached truck cab top. I broke one set of springs. Many tales could be told about our adventures.

Man I remember seeing that old hot stove in many junk joints down South when I was a little boy, just a few logs of oak trees and you couldn't stay in the place too long, you talking heat! Of course everyone couldn't afford em, most people had those thin metal trash burners and the Lord helped you if you lived in a house with a wooden roof, one good spark and the whole house would go up in flames, thank God they started building houses with tin roofing. Great video, nice and easy, but I don't think I could live back up in the woods anymore, please, don't get me wrong, there are enough ways in this world where every man can have their own way, as long as you show others respect .
