Hello Diego ! I think to prevent rot, and your siding deteriorating, installing gutters whould be a great addition to the cabin. With long extentions at the bottom all the water will be deverted from the house, and help it to stay dry !

Probably the correct tool, though the axe seems quite effective, would be a 3 or 4 inch paint scrapper. And a pair of vise grips would be a help in removing the nails.

You didn't overfill the gaps, I think you might have under filled some spots especially at the top. When you stick the straw all the way in and they puff out it means they filled the gap entirely, so if they don't puff out there is a chance you have voids where cold air can just blast through. Also, I suggest wood putty to fill the screw holes, they don't shrink like caulk and they sand nice and smooth. Overall, excellent work man! I'm thoroughly enjoying your content.

Long story short... I used to work in excavation. We did a job for Al's next door neighbor Patrick. Patrick introduced us and came up with the idea of helping rebuild his water wheel together. The rest is history 🙂. In the next video of the "Al's Life Story" series, we'll likely talk more about it in detail.
