She would be the first to sue the motel, if the bear mauled her. Folks, mother nature is NOT a Disney ride! You can get killed by bears, Elk, Bison, etc. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE!

This Hotel Does very little to stop the bears Ive stayed there many times. They constantly sit out trash or allow trash sit in non bear proof stuff . And When you try tell them they laught you let it go on and ignore you. This includes bear crap on the stairs. I stayed there they left in on steps for over 2 days. They only start try put up trash when police are called. They need to do some repairs to their hotel instead tossing people out. They was brag me about bears. I think some this could been intentional to get guests.

I wonder if a tip with the disguarded food items put in area out of town would attract the bears out of the area..? And have a safe observation tower to protect observers and bears...great tourist attraction...

The hotel complains but they're the reason the bears are there in the first place because they don't dispose of trash properly It's so funny how scared of black bears everyone is. Humans kill 50000 bears a year, but black bears kill a person 1 time every 2-3 years. No he couldn't have "mauled" her in this situation. This is called a bluff charge... A small black bear isn't going to take on a huge fat human unless she mauls him first
