I've seen Ian & Rant in small clubs here in the US recently and his voice is very good and I do attribute it to not smoking anymore

Smoking, drinking and coking improved David Bowie's voice over the years. His voice was deeper and richer. Age helped too.

I was there also. on opening night I still remember how there was actually a marionette on stage during this song On opening night, it was like a Broadway opening. The ushers at the beginning of the concert were saying "Please sir, put on that cigarette". Toward the end they were saying "Hey jack put out that fucking joint." They learned. that we were not the topical well mannered Broadway crowd. It was the height of the "glitter rock" era. Of all the concerts I have been to, that one was the best.. BTW one thing that was a bit strange is that Morgan Fisher played piano off stage .

Do you have reading comprehension issue? I was cleanly referring to the Uris theater concert. BTW, Luther (Arial Bender) is as as flashy and animated as ever.

@@Barb5001 - I was referring to Morgan Fisher. I remember Ian introduced Fisher. “The lights being what they are Morgan eventually appears”.....Being a classical pianist, I was very influenced by his playing.

I loved this song growing up. The 70's and 80's were great. Its been on ball of shit ever since. The music has sucked except for the old dudes keeping it real. These kids need to go back to what Rock n Roll was and modernize it a little. But you need the attitude. These kids don't know shit! Funny I sound a little like my Father?
