Is there any information on the weight, and pounds of thrust produced by this engine. In the US, it is sold through Desert Aircraft, but this information is missing.

Hello Thomas thinking of buying this engine, are you happy with it, do you recommend it.

This engine is fairly good. It produces higher power than the other brand of engines of its class. Sound is not good as Moki or Roto engines, but it is still acceptable. The only point that I concerned is it does not have needle bearing between crank pin and connecting rod. It only has bushing.

I have just received mine and it has way too much vibration and it's not running stable at all. Did you do any tuning on yours? Do I have to do any adjustments?

1st : You need to use high octane gasoline value of at least 95. (Motul 710 off road oil, 1:40 ratio) 2nd : Open the black cover (valve cover), and adjust the valve clearance as per the engine manual. 3rd : Sometimes you need to change the ignition plug to the genuine NGK CM-6. 4th : You might have to adjust both high needle and low needle according to the manual. or you can search internet for "how to adjust WALBRO carburetor" Hope this should be helpful for your engine adjustment ..

@@JetCatKorea Many thanks for the quick reply… I am using high-octane gas and the ration is 1:20 according to the manual do I have to change it to 1:40?

It says 7000 RPM max but what have you measured? What is the max RPM?
@JetCatKorea6 жыл бұрын
Dear brave Suat bey, I've measured the max rpm, and it was 7,800 (yedi bin sekiz yuz) with Master Aircrew Classic prop. You should be able to get more rpm if you use carbon prop such as Mejlik or Biela. Selamlar ~

You know Turkish? I'm looking for a 4 stroke engine that runs at much higher speeds like 12-13k for my gasser helicopter project. This Gaui seemed like a good candidate but 8k RPM is too low. Thanks

Yes, 7.8k rpm should be too low for your requirement at the moment. But as far as I know, there is no such a high rev. 4-stroke gas engine in the world. There are some for glow engines ancak. So I believe you have to change gear ratio of your heli to use a 4-stroke gas engine for your application. Siz Türkiye'de mi oturuyorsunuz ?

Evet, Ankara'da yaşıyorum. Siz neredesiniz? As it is a scratch build project, I can change the gear ratio however the clutch wont hold at 7k RPM which is too low. Maybe if I remove some weight from the piston then it may be go up to 9-10k RPM.

Regarding the clutch, maybe you can use a larger diameter clutch to make it work at a lower rpm and can hold larger power. Bence you can find it with ease. Başarılar !!
