Hey some battle cats lore/speculation: - The secret lab that the colossal enemies were created/experimented on is the Laboratory of Relics (look at JJackrabbit JP desc) - This lab is also where idi is found and her enemy form has a green like stone that is similar to the black baron stones - Idi is also implied to be an egg unit due to her having the 002 id Conclusion: Idi is connected to both Colossus and Eggs, which could give us an idea of what her possible awakening stage/true form could be My speculation? Possible Idi awakening stage enemy will be Relic/Colossus trait boss, peons may also be colossus enemies. Her true form will require stage clear, behemoth stones, or both (as seen with Mecha Bun) Her true form? Most likely behemoth slayer because she is an egg unit, which would make her a bit better than Bahamut in terms of behemoth killing.

My biggest gripe for colossal gauntlet is how they are making the ubers meant to “counter” the bosses and them not being good half the time. It’s neat they added a new sub trait but most of these ubers don’t even really do their jobs correctly. Like Terun and Le Fish are solid ubers but then ya got the pixie who can’t work against either of her traits colossal enemies.

The only Collosal gauntlet i can recommend mid/late game players doing is Collosal Legrimm because that one is just free if you have Bomber cat with freeze up combos. Also it drops an epic seed at lvl 19 which is one of the only ways to get epic seed pre-UL.

OMG, I'm so glad you said Colossals are legitimately difficult. I felt like I must be rubbish at strategy or something, because I struggle with the Colossal gauntlets from around the halfway point onwards despite being a late game player with really good Ubers. I've kind of stopped bothering with them because I simply don't find that level of difficulty fun, and the drop rewards aren't enticing enough. I hope that one day I'm able to get through them just for the sake of the Meow Medals they give. Also, I definitely agree that they should be on for more than a week - given that at least half the levels will require multiple attempts, a week is reaaaally not long enough to get through them unless you play the game absolutely LOADS.

honestly my biggest gripe with colossal gauntlets (and unrelated but infernal tower too) is just that the rewards for like 80% of the event just aren't worth it. like, nobody cares about 5 of each base material, half a million xp, and 3 silver tickets. i used to like messier's assault because it dropped big rewards towards the end (5 epic seeds, 3 rare tickets, and 3 leaderships if i remember correctly). but they changed it recently to be more or less the same as the other gauntlets

Atleast with Infernal tower you can just Cherry pick the stages that Drop Catseyes + any other recourse you might need (though obviously Heavenly tower is better in this regard since the rewards are always the same meaning you can safely skip stages that drop bricks or something stupid like that)

Actually the main purpose of barons are the ability orbs that you can get to boost some of your units against their trait (only the ability orbs matter, atk and def orbs are almost useless no matter the trait) but I def see your point still stand, because bosses like baron hyppoh have completely useless ability orbs for a non Uber player and even for Ubers the selection isn’t much better. A good reward selection example would be mega moth bc each has a respective beneficiary for the ability orbs: camera for strong, octo for resist, and fishman for massive damage (cataur if also an option for the ladder, but you are better off going for zompeng, if you want to give cataur good massive damage orbs)

One of the best units for Colossals has been Metal Cat for me. It takes 12 hits no matter the magnifications (except for the big peng z). Along with Cyperpunk and Sniper Deadeye, you got a really nice core to take on barons, despite extreme magnifications.

I think the main reason for no metal barons is because the options for a boss left are few, since baron seal and super hyppoh exist as barons, the only other option for a metal baron . . . @@RealityMasterRogue metal dodge doesn’t have a design that melds well with the baron design, metal sloth is an event enemy so I doubt ponos would do it and while metal one horn has the best chance of the three, ponos would have to do a LOT to make this thing even remotely threatening while still being balanced: if they give it the same attributes as almost every other one horn, then it would definitely be too easy as the slow speed would most likely make it not push that much, while most likely being easily juggled by crit units, on the other hand, if they try to fix the average weaknesses if a one horn then the stage would quickly become extremely cancerous due to the natural investment needed for tougher metals unless the put no support with it, which would just reset back to square one due to the ease of crowd control for the thing since there is nothing that is stopping you.

I know that dasli's dps is her main draw, but I don't understand why everyone shits on her curse. It's a lot stronger than most people give it credit for. All barons get destroyed by her specifically because they all have some ability that makes them annoying, for Exiel, it's warp, for seal, it's freeze. But none of it matters to dasli because they no longer have it when she's on the field, she makes most colossals easy. The exception is le grimm. he outranges her and kills her very quickly.

Well, not to pick up old fights especially because I would never want to fight you, while none of the Barons have anything crazy in terms of ability, Dasli still makes them more manageable. Exiel's warp isn't crazy, sure, but it's nice to not even have to deal with it at all. I'm not saying her Curse is why she's broken, I'm just saying it's a nice quality of life feature for Dasli to have. Also, it being able to shut down relic curses is unironically very nice.

That is totally what discourages me from doing the Colossal Gauntlets. You get 2 weeks to do 10 Stages for the Monthly Gauntles, but only 1 week to do 20 Stages? Like what the hell?! Baron seal was HELL. I did a bunch of tries with a lot of crowd control ubers and still got pushed hard (used I think raiden, talented peach devils etc.) also had cyberpunk for more control. I like Baron Gauntlets a lot as a pinnacle activity for end game players. Being able to push certain units to the limit with Talent orbs is really cool, the only issue I have is that Talent Orbs as a mechanic in general feel really limited. Also there’s barely any eligible units for some of the specialty ones that drop from Barons, to the point that when I farmed up an S Rank Strong v Angel orb I slapped it on Lil Axe cause who else is gonna take it?

I can do max lv of every baron so far with relative ease. Im UR 18k+. This is the kinda lategame it takes to deal with this shit. Tho from my experience 3 star UL has some stages harder than any of the barons.

yeah, dkasli carries *hard* on these stages, as the barons have either annoying cc abilities (like Baron Seal's weaken) or absolutely disgusting cc abilities (like Archangel Exiel's warp ability; is there any anti-angel that doesn't get warped???). she also helps juggle the support units, as a lot of them tend to have lots of knockbacks (angel/black gory, black doge, black kangaroo, etc), helping to reduce the battering your frontline takes. all hail Dkasli!
