So as a human being , if I see myself in such situation, I cannot live, it's so hard. The modifications in the law could be : 1. Injury should be more than some percentage of the body. 2. Mandatory Dash Cams on vehicles. 3. And in case accident happens, taking the victim to hospital reduces the fine. In my opinion these could be some changes as to prevent the misuse of the law

We Indians should not be relieved hearing that we don't have such laws in Bharat. Because we too have many laws like SC/ST law, alimony after divorce law and fake rape case allegations where women can easily extort a huge amount of money by fake cases and If the case is wrong, there is no punishment on the woman. Our laws are so gender and caste biased that it is laughable how it is even passed in parliament. Edit: for the people fighting in the replies section for/against caste reservations. Let me add: Reservation is necessary because there are still a lot of backward classes in utter poverty. Just the form needs to change. If someone gets a job/seat reservation, his aadhar card should be marked that he has got the opportunity and now got a job through it. Now his children should compete in general quota.

But are you aware in West Bengal this same type of scam is very much predominant in areas like Diamond harbour, canning especially in south 24 pgs? Diamond harbour area used to be a village now it is expanding town yet the residents of the area irrespective they are young, old, male or female will do the same type of things and then claim compensation. Even if your dash cam has recorded everything the police of diamond harbour jurisdiction will literally make sure you get behind bars. And the funny part is a major % earned from these type of scams goes to the present government (documented evidence is not available).
