For some reason I can't see us getting a beast from the east untill late February if at all I don't think we will need it due to all the blocking we are going to get especially in January 😮

Since the siberian forest fires years ago, perma ice that used to help develop BfE has melted so much unlikely to ever see beasts from the east like decades ago. East winds in uk have declined both in summer and winter. But you can't rule them out completely where I lived on east Sussex coast on seventies blizzards came from continental Europe, couldn't see a thing walking home from shopping in Eastbourne then nothing ever grew on the promenade. But now instead of our normal uk plants there been taken over by exotic palms and other Mediterranean types. The weather is now a reverse of what was normal in 1970. And that can only be down to global warming, because natural warming occurs over a very long time, to reverse the climate in 50 years or less is impossible. Don't forget we're going to miss 1.5% warming and 2% because fossil fuels have not been dramatically reduced. The latest impaction by 2027 2030 is 3.1% which is really poor outcome, since nothings been done since 1989 when events started happening. As many know the AMOC gulf stream strength is weakening year by year, if that does stop for any length of time Britain will be back to 1963 winters

But as this storm passes it will bring the wins back down from the north again so it a good bet that after this storm passes it will turn colder again and with high pressure returning around Greenland and Iceland later thing could get much colder again 😅

With Iceland pumping volcanic dust high in the atmosphere I have a feeling it's going to be colder than normal winter

Nice one Gav👍 what affect will that active volcano in Iceland do to the coming winter here? Also been a few decades since we’ve had laying snowfall in Oxfordshire like we did on 19th November this year and a snow shower to boot following day, very different from last winter with 4 windscreen scraps already this season😂 and it’s not even winter yet 😂
