Always loved the way the difference between jedi and sith is portrayed here. The jedi master willingly and without even thinking about it, momentarily gives up his weapon to protect his padawan. Then the padawan gives her weapon to the master to help him in the upcoming battle. Meanwhile, Malgus has to force pull his master's weapon because the master, although injured and out of the fight, still wouldn't give it up.

Make no mistake. Malgus defeated a Jedi Battlemaster. Battlemasters specialize in lightsaber combat. All forms. Darth Malgus was one of the Sith’s most fearsome warriors in their history.

Darkjonny79 Yes, but from my point of view, Malgus simply overpowered Darach. I honestly don’t think exhaustion is a factor in the battle. Jedi and Sith can fight battles for extended periods of time. He had skills and techniques and was arguably the better fighter of all duelists involved. But being the better or stronger fighter isn’t always a guarantee.

Kao Cen Darach was extremely strong in lightsaber combat. He became the battle master of the Jedi order during the old republic, but no one is stronger than Darth Malgus’s lightsaber combat ability. Also the “space cowboy” is Niko Okkar. The smuggler that never ages.

Before the Era of the Rule of Two, it was all about survival of the fittest for the sith so as to keep only the best within their ranks. Malgus saw that his master had been injured, so he killed him not so much to become the master, but rather because he saw his master as weak and therefore a hindrance to the sith

yeah its a mmo that got release in 2011 and the other trailers just the latest expasions to the game they still adding stuff to this day its very grinding game too lol :) and yeah malgus is very darth vader design in my option but got to love the red guy his race is a pure sith which is very powerful with the dark side of the force, you can play on dark side or the light side.

@@Gaxelle In Legends the origins of the Sith begin after the very first Dark Jedi arrive on Korriban where a red-skinned alien species named the Sith are naturally gifted in the darkside. The dark jedi build their empire out of these aliens and the Sith name is adopted. The title "Lord of the Sith" or "Sith Lord" is quite literal as these dark jedi were lords of this civilization.

I'm just surprised you are just finding out this trailer, when it's been out for years. It's not the only one, as you probably now know. They all really do compliment each other. I watch them every now and then, in order, and they don't cease to amaze. One can only wish the actual SWTOR gameplay came closer to this. If you haven't played by now, please do. With the extensive grind involved and its somewhat outdated engine, it's still a great, well developed game with a huge following. It is not the KOTOR 3 that many fans (including myself) wanted, but it's great nonetheless

For sith is not about trust but power and gaining it. A student must always try to get as much knowledge and power from their master and then kill them as to assume the role. As such the idea is to grow every new generation even stronger. Hence why a sith lord is usually able to defeat several jedi at once.

I love swtor, I haven't played kotor even though I know people say it's even better and I don't doubt it is but I honestly can't get past the graphics and I don't care enough to find out where and how I can play it now. Swtor is amazing though, my favourite storyline is definitely the Sith Warrior class in conjunction with the Eternal Throne expansion.

It's not that Sith cannot be trusted exactly, they have certain traditions. The apprentice eventually kills the master when he's strong enough to do so. The master would have expected that shit.

@MegaJf16 That "stupid rule" is how Sidious cane to be one of, if not the most, powerful sith in history and nearly destroyed the jedi. Bane created the rule of 2 because the sith order had become similar to a pathetic copy of the jedi, and was ultimately headed for faliure.

Darth Bane's rule of two doesn't exist at this point. He would be disgusted at this action because his idea is that the apprentice has to defeat the master while he is at the height of his power wrenching the title from the ruling Dark Lord of the Sith. Striking the master down after he was wounded by combat with another flies in the face of that. In that regard he would also have been disgusted with Sideous who poisoned his master in his sleep, neither learning everything and also not proving his superiority.
