Yea for Bucky and family! I know what it's like to have a newborn in the hospital. My daughter was hospitalized at 3 months for about a week. They had to rule out multiple diseases including rheumatoid arthritis. It turned out to be an unusual case of HIB that localized in her ankle. She came home with a IV in her and we had to give her injections for 6 weeks. She was a trooper - never cried and always smiled at all the doctors and nurses. She's now 32 and is an awesome person. It would not have happened without the great medical care we got. So true in Bucky's case!! On another note... love your videos and just bought about 8 instant downloads from Elsie's store. Thank you for highlighting her work. It's lovely! Enjoy your retreat. It's always exciting to see what you come back with.

This is my favorite kind of journal, more primitive. Congrats to Bucky and his family! My first two were left in the hospital (20 days and 12 days) As good as the hospital is, it’s no substitute for Mom and Dad. He’ll be up-to-snuff in no time!

I’m excited to see all the things you made with all these pretty papers you are taking. Guess you’ll be home soon since it is Saturday that I am watching this. Your Blue Fern studio journal is really pretty. You are so good at your art that it surprises me when you are concerned if it will turn out. I guess it shows that we all have areas we aren’t sure about when it comes to our art and it’s kinda unnerving to try it. But I think our God given artisticness kicks in and it ends up flowing just like the things we are more comfortable with.

For getting paper pads back in the bag, lay a long ruler over the sticky flap, while you put the paper back in. That corrugated cardboard lines technique is amazing. I absolutely love the page you completed. Update: I found some cardboard and made my own “stamp” to try and make lines.

Just wanted to tell you I am so happy Bucky is doing well. I was praying for all of you. I know you were trying to be brave but I could tell you were really worried. I'm so glad everyone is on the up side now. I also wanted to tell you that I just placed an order with ElsieBellsBookshelf and I can't wait to get it! I've not seen her shop before. She has beautiful things. She has a print and ship journal kit featuring elephants. I could not resist. An elephant journal is on my list but it's so hard to find good images. I had a nice time watching you decide what to take. I'm going to a 3-day crop next month. It is only 7 miles from my home, but I'm still overwhelmed by what to pack!!! I am so glad to know how well Bucky is doing. I have been keeping him in my prayers. I usually watch on our tv before falling asleep, so I am not always able to post. I do watch daily and have been keeping him & the medical teams taking care of him in my prayers. It is Wednesday afternoon when I'm watching this. Not sure what your plan is for the flap but if you make a cut from the edge of the page to the hole (just the holes on the flap), it will still turn intact with the page but can also be pulled down without having to open the rings. Hope that made some sense. Love how the journal is taking shape - not sure what you were nervous about. Great news about Bucky - hope he's home now and all warm and snuggly with his family!
