“I’m the child and grandchild of Nakba survivors.”
Alana Hadid belongs to one of the most recognisable Palestinian families in the world. So when she sat down with us on Real Talk, we tried to unpack the pressures that come with that.
In our conversation with Hadid, we spoke about Gaza and how she was impacted by the last few months. We also spoke about her activism, her views on how Gaza may influence the upcoming US elections, and a closer look at the forced expulsion of her Palestinian father and grandparents from their home during the Nakba of 1948.
#RealTalk is a Middle East Eye interview show hosted by Mohamed Hashem that delves into the stories and experiences of a diverse range of guests.

Bain Marie, how do you feel about the girls of Afghanistan who can't go to school past 6th grade. L'chaim. My Hebrew name Jacova is the female form of Jacob. God is my Father and rabbi. He spoke 50 sentences to me from above. ( I was born March 11th in Bethlehem) I'm going to tell you some of what God said. The woman in the video has faith in God. She does not know God. 11.17.2015 Eve Beach, Waikiki, early evening. God asked me, what side of the blade are you on. I answered, the side of the righteous my words are my sword. He showed me my ascension to Heaven. He said, "Make Israel one." ( it means to bring peace and reconciliation between Jew, Christian, Muslim, cousins by Abraham) 12 hours before the Gaziatep Turkey earthquake I was watching a video on AL Jazeera youtube about the Palestinians. I wrote that God said, make Israel one. ( it means to bring peace and reconciliation between Jew, Christian, Muslim, cousins by Abraham) A muslim brother answered, Jews and Christians will be humiliated by God. I answered, No. We are all God's children. No one sticks a metaphorical rock in God's throat. The Prophet Muhammed knew this. Sometimes it feels like 500,000 Gazans are holding the world hostage. The earth will quake. And it did. God's first sentences to me were 8.4.2015 morning drinking chai tea. Since then I have told and timestamped many prescient visions that came true. Death to Israel. Death to Jews is against Inshallah. ( God's will) Ahava Israel. God's last sentence to me was 4 years ago. He said, you are Princess Messenger of God. The only sentence God spike to me in months. Now if you are so enamored with Islamic terrorism then I guess Hezbollah and ISIS is your swill. They don't know God either. They think they can see and violence their way to God. Goodluck. God is watching. I would like to express my Evergreen self to God my Father and Everything that gives me equal rights and His Love. When the Evergreen freighter blocked the Suez canal. I laughed and cried with God and the Angel Team in my thoughts and heart, for I presciently knew. Sincerely your enlightened mystic whose middle name is Sue. Shukrun. Go read Lamentations 3:32. It's what God just showed me for you all t read.

@@TheBubblydimple and zero comparisons? AI gave me 8, but i'll share 4 1. **Colonial Legacy:** Both struggles have roots in a history of colonialism - the Irish under British rule and the Palestinians under Ottoman and later British rule. 2. **Displacement:** Both groups have experienced significant displacement. The Irish faced forced migrations and displacement, especially during the Great Famine, while Palestinians experienced mass displacement during the establishment of Israel in 1948. 3. **National Identity:** The struggles involve a quest for national identity and self-determination. The Irish sought independence and the establishment of the Republic of Ireland, while Palestinians seek a sovereign state. 4. **Conflict with Colonial Powers:** Both faced resistance against colonial powers - the Irish Republican Army (IRA) against the British, and various Palestinian resistance groups against British and later Israeli forces.

There was peace between Muslims, Christians and Jews living in Palestine until 1917, when colonial settlers from Europe invaded the country, displaced and dispossessed the indigenous inhabitants, and stole their land. It accelerated to a massive scale during late 1947 especially in the first half of 1948. The first village to be fully cleaned was the village of Qisarya, which had 1500 inhabitants, was on February 15, 1948. The peak of the massacres happened on April 9, 1948, during which 720,000 Palestinians out of the 900,000 who lived in the territories that became Israel fled or were expelled from their homes. Then some ill-equipped and ill-armed Arab armies came to the rescue of the Palestinians, but by the time they arrived in mid May, 1948 it was already late. They were defeated by the superior Israeli army in their so called war of independence on May 15, 1948. The majority of the native Palestinian inhabitants have thus become refugees, some internally in the west bank and Gaza and others outside their country especially in the surrounding countries. The Israeli government soon after passed a law preventing the refugees from coming back to their villages and towns which were subsequently demolished. Thanks to social media and spread of information, with a couple of clicks and with courage and human decency, the truth shines for every seeker to recognize. Plan Dalet is a good way to start your search.

I have seen old pictures of the 1800's showing Muslims, jews and Christians going about their day in Jerusalem interacting and acting like they are conducting business together. Of course, that was pre-zionism. The Jewish population was less than 5%. I also have an image of a map from around the turn of the century of "Palestine," no mention of Israel.

They started a war of extermination. against Israel. They lose that war and then start a 2nd war of extermination. They lose that war, rinse and repeat. That is why these crooks will never find peace or justice. By denying their evil, they are condemned to suffer from it in perpetuity.

My Palestinian sister that is why we as South Africans went to the ICJ because we suffered the same dehumanization. In south Africa we had laws called the group areas act.The apartheid regime took our homes and property and gave it to white people the same as the Zionist did to the Palestinian people. My mother in law had a home in central Port Elizabeth this was taken by the apartheid regime and it was given toa white person. These whites tried to alter the house but they kept the original front door. When my mother in-law passed her house she use to cry. Many of our old people just died of heart break. We as South African knows what dispossession means and we will stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters
