I purchased an Archon Type B (FDE) a few months ago. It's incredibly accurate, very easy to keep on target and the recoil certainly appears less than similarly sized guns. I'm not a fan of the way in which the magazine is used to pop out the magazine release for reversal, as mistakes can happen - especially if under extreme stress conditions. That minor negative (to me, others may not care) aside, there are many excellent attributes to this gun, making it an excellent addition to anyone's collection. I am a big fan of innovations like this in the gun industry. Thanks, GB, for posting this video!

I’ve followed this gun, in different amalgamations, since it was the Arsenal Stryk B, and *LOVED* that design before Archon took over the production and changed it up. If I remember correctly, it was some sort of “political” issue over import crap, that shook everything around towards Archon as the new producers. Still an incredible design, and as you said, *very* unique! Thanks for sharing Graham 😁👍🏽

I bought mine when it first came out a couple/few years back. I believe my model is Germany frame/Germany slide. Quality is impeccable.

I shot a friend's Archon a couple months ago and it was very flat shooter..but my much cheaper Steyr C9 felt very similar to it. Instead I purchased a PSA AKV ALG (which was also around 900) and it's become my favorite smile maker at the range. This thing runs fast! I hope you can review it Graham.

I'd love to, but we don't work with PSA

These were on sale several months back, I should have bought a couple more. I love this pistol, and agree with your analysis. The grip feels really nice, and I love that it comes with 4 magazines! An all-around great pistol IMO and worth the price too. Great show brother, hope you have a great week.

I got to shoot one of the "limited edition" models. Interesting pistol, VERY flat shooting, but an awkward grip angle and the pistol gets hot very quickly. I suspect most of the Aliens that have been purchased are safe queens so you won't here much about that.

@@GBGuns I saw Larry vickers review on it and he said that it’s like a laser but it very very dirty cause it uses a hk p7 piston system but upside down lol, he also said that he wouldn’t recommend this pistol for duty use or military, cause of how dirty this pistol shoots dirtier than a 1911 interesting, but Larry did enjoy shooting it and loves it, but for the price of a competition pistol it’s not a bad choice he would still prefer a Cz shadow over the alien

Nice informative review on the Archon Type B👍🏾 Came close in purchasing the pistol a few months ago, was a little put out about the price. But now wish I had purchased the pistol back then. Hopefully my gun store may get some more for their stock.

I bought one and sold it. The grip texture is awful. No back straps to adjust for having large hands. ( the grip is small ) I wish these negatives were not there because the trigger was great and it looked second to none. No shops in my major city had one for me to feel out so I had to order it and I was dissapointed.

Nice gun. Any of my pistols would do as well so would I buy? Perhaps just for the Bergmann Mars locking block action, from 1903... at least they beat Browning tilt barrel by a slight time.

Awesome pistol and video! But your shots of two we always called "double taps". I don't know if people still use that terminology or not.
@GBGuns4 жыл бұрын
Double taps can further be divided into Hammered pairs and controlled pairs. Hammering is aim once, squeeze twice. Controlled pairs involve a quick reaiming before the second shot.

"Fake CZ style" of low bore axis ... Remember that the fake low bore axis that CZ's use came about in the late 70's. It does have a low bore axis compared to its contemporaries. People that still say it has a low bore axis today when comparing to modern pistols are just themselves ignorant. However to say "Fake CZ style" low bore axis is also ignorance. CZ does not claim any of its pistols have a low bore axis. KZbinrs are the ones perpetuating that myth.
