Bought my first Ar15 about 5 months ago and I was originally going to get a different brand but the gun store sold the one I was going to get so they showed me the DoubleStar Star-15 so I got it. I guess the gun store didn’t know what they were selling me but my rifle came with a Daniel Defense DDM4 12.0 rail and the Daniel defense grip and a Sig Romeo 5 red dot. I bought my rifle used and spend not even $600 on it and I’ve had no problems with it, I recently put a BCM stock on it and other than that I am really satisfied with my DoubleStar.

I bought a two piece drop in Picatinny rail from Doublestar in the early days probably around 2002. It was such a good rail in still running it today. In over 20 years it hasn’t moved or twisted at all so I could’ve put a free float on my AR but the Doublestar with my heavy barrel shoots 1/2 MOA so no reason to change it.

Wow. I bought my m1a a week after my ar so my ar went straight into the gunsafe. I was planning on trading it at a gun store for a colt. Yesterday changed my mind

Colt has a name, but sometimes companies rest on that name and let quality slide. Younger, more agile companies like DoubleStar have the need and ability to watch details closely.

I purchased a Doublestar (DoubleStar AR-15 Pistol A3 Upper Receiver Assembly 300 AAC Blackout 9" Barrel 1 in 8" Twist) complete upper and it just arrived the other day. While I believe the upper was well built, I wanted to change out the handguard. There is a tubular-like handguard on there now and the gas block sits in front of this tubular handguard. I want to change this handguard but can already see that it's probably going to take some work to do this. I am not family with something like this so I wanted to ask you if I can change this handguard and what it's going to take. Please advise. Thank you, and by the way, it was purchased at Midway USA.

@@GBGuns Well, I contacted DoubleStar. I told them I've tried changing lowers, changing buffers and springs, changing magazines, etc. I even sent them pictures. I've been doing this for ages and I know a defective product when I get one. They suggested I send it in, etc. I told them I'd swallow the cost and to just forget it. I was hoping they replace it and have me send this one in but they wanted to see the whole rifle. This is my very first upper from DoubleStar and I've used Aero Precision and even Odin Works, never had an issue. Colt was never an issue either. Anyway, thank you for your time sir.

I admire people willing to invest their lives and money in the firearms industry. I couldn't do it even though I am a firearms enthusiast. The industry is just too vulnerable to politics. The Democrats could destroy the companies producing ar and ak style firearms after this election or the next election. Even gun stores constantly have to be wary of theft. I tell people there are two types of gun stores. The gun stores that have been robbed and the gun stores that are going to be robbed.

I purchased a Doublestar (DoubleStar AR-15 Pistol A3 Upper Receiver Assembly 300 AAC Blackout 9" Barrel 1 in 8" Twist) complete upper. I still love the upper but I am having a feed ramp issue. I have used different magazines, I have changed the buffer and spring, tried H1, H2, and H3 buffers with a Gisielle braided spring. I can rack a few rounds at a time then I get a misfeed. I am just wondering if I need to break this weapon in or if there are any other ideas out there. I love the upper, I just want those rounds to feed without issue. Every forth or fifth round is caught up in the feed ramp. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
