Back in the day we all laughed when Mrs Merton asked Debbie what she saw in "millionaire" Paul Daniels. Since then have to come to realise what a loyal,devoted partner she was, a talent in her own right as a dancer and performer, and a genuinely decent person. Her appearance on Strictly was more than giving it a go - she was brilliant. How many people now say they have been the luckiest person? Love her positive attitude.

Debbie McGee and Paul Daniels were an absolute powerhouse when it came to their performances. The connection they shared on stage was truly remarkable and captivating. Their partnership radiated an indescribable energy that left audiences in awe. It was as if they were perfectly attuned to each other's movements and thoughts, effortlessly synchronizing their every move. Their chemistry was so palpable, it could be felt in the very air of the theater, creating an enchanting atmosphere that was impossible to resist. Together, Debbie McGee and Paul Daniels formed an extraordinary duo that left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment.

I know lots of people from Italy to Finland that did national service, none of them were sent to front lines. They don't do that.
@nattiex3735 Жыл бұрын
Of course no one doing national service is getting sent to the front lines, but a lot of countries that do national service focus on military training. In the UK we already have the combined cadet force, which is a school age national youth program that teaches children military skills, like how to shoot a gun ect. My mother made me do it, and I hated it!

I'm not sure why really but she and Phil were in the firing line by the gutter press a lot back in the day, The Sun & NOTW and other red tops wouldn't let go and must have caused a lot of problems for that family, thankfully she is past that and she is now one of the few people on TV that is a nice person, doesn't slag people off, and she could quite easily, she just gets on with being professional and entertaining people which is more than you can say for the editors of the red tops who slandered her family for years, I bet her and Phil had a great night the NOTW announced it was closing, I can imagine them sat on the settee together watching the 10 o'clock news and toasting the demise of The News Of The world,

Yes, there are life skills, the army teach those. Many other places teach similar but the army, alone, teach self defence along with those. The only difference between the army and civvies is civvies teach how to defend, the army teach how to attack while defending. That's the epitome of warfare. Read "Sun Tzu -The Art Of War". (Edit) There was no "hostage situation" based on the interview. Typical "clickbait". Just standard Iraqi policy, at that time.

Not a Debbie McGee fan at all but this story is genuine. I have a friend who danced in that Iranian ballet company and lived in the same block of flats at the same time as DMcG, and left Iran in a similar way. The Iranian National Ballet Company (Persian: سازمان باله ملی ایران) was Iran's only state ballet institution until the Islamic revolution of 1979 and also the most known and recognized of all dance companies in the Middle East.
