Why do these guys treat the New Testament like it is one big dispensation? It results in bad doctrine and distorts the gospel of grace.

​@wesleycrisp6523 They don't recognize the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to the apostle Paul by revelation from Jesus for us. What Jesus revealed to Paul was new information for us, but they don't seem to recognize those verses at all. As a result, they try to apply what Peter, James, and John preached to Israel directly to us with a little Paul mixed in, which creates confusion because their gospels are not the same.

What exactly was “Paul’s Gospel” that was preached different from the rest of the Apostles? Paul preached that baptism was necessary for salvation (Romans 6:3-4). And preached of his own conversion in Acts 22:16 that he was not saved while praying on the road to Damascus until he washed his sins away in baptism.

​@austinholland8470 Paul declares his gospel here: 1 Corinthians 15: 1 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 - By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 - For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 - And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures The above gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe. Romans 1:16 Is that the gospel Peter preached in Acts 2? No, and it's because Paul's gospel was revealed to Paul later. No one preached that before Paul. Obviously. You are proving the point using Romans 6:3-4. That is a baptism into Christ and into his death. Not into water.

@gbntv Please stop telling people that Acts 2:38 is a baptism into Christ. Please read it! It doesn't say that. Being in Christ came later through the revelation of the mystery to Paul. 1 Corinthians 12:13 is the baptism into Christ. It has nothing to do with water and is performed by God. Here it is - please read it.... 1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. That's why Paul stopped doing water baptisms and said there is only one baptism. Please let the bible speak.

Paul was right. There is only 1 baptism; water. Read 1 peter 3:21. No way u can get anything out of that passage but water.

​@wesleycrisp6523 Yes, Paul was right. 1 Peter is written to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (i.e. Israel). Water baptism was the baptism for them, but according to Paul, he revealed to us a baptism into the body of Christ, which was a brand new mystery given to him by Jesus. Water baptism doesn't accomplish this, which is why he had to specify there being only one.

You either believe it all harmonizes together, or you believe the Bible contradicts itself. There’s no other outlet to your claims.

@@ConRob3-2692 baptism in greek whether it be “baptizo” or “baptisma” are both defined as being submerged. That’s implying to be submerged in water. You are cherry picking and willfully ignoring the plain scripture. So in Acts 22:16, when Jesus commands Ananias to tell Paul he needed to be baptized in water to washed away his sins, Jesus all of a sudden just changes course and reverses His previous gospel commandment? Absolutely not. Your argument fails time and time again man. 1 Peter 3:21- Baptism saves John 3:5- Jesus tells us to be baptized. Mark 16:16- Jesus says we must believe and be baptized to be saved. Matthew 26:28- Jesus tells us His blood was shed FOR (EIS, looking forward to) the remission of our sins. Acts 2:38- be baptized for the remission of our sins. 2 Timothy 2:10- “10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” How do we achieve salvation IN Christ? Galatians 3:27-“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” According to your belief, is that all of these commandments given by Christ and His Apostles are suddently eradicated by Paul despite Paul teaching that he himself had to be baptized to wash away his sins, and yet you teach that scripture in 1 Corinthians would contradict that. Not so man. Either you believe the Bible harmonizes or contradicts. You haven’t answered that question.
