Also I’m super glad you’re willing to take the time to shoot and edit all of this. I complain that there’s not enough detailed videos of roll cage building but also don’t video or take enough pictures of what I’ve done so far. I’m well aware of my hypocritical behavior. So any thing I ask is out of true curiosity.

I’m getting ready to do the same thing to a L wagon. There’s a video for a wrx roll cage that cover the down bars that’s pretty good
@DirtyGarage6 жыл бұрын
I have to check that out. I just finished my down bars a couple days ago, they were definitely really tricky to get the offset correct so they would line up with the roof line and A pillars.

Dig it I was just looking for a video on rocker boxes. The time attack cage on TFS looks like it didn’t have a bottom plate. Or I just didn’t see it
@DirtyGarage6 жыл бұрын
I don't think he added the bottom plate. A lot of people don't run a bottom plate, it makes sense to me to want a plate on the floor so the thin 1/8th sides of the box don't knife through the floor in a hard rollover. And thanks hopefully it was of some benefit for you!

I’m not an engineer and this is my first cage from scratch but I would think that would defeat the point of the plate. You would only have the 1/8 by however many inches your plate is as your contact area.
@DirtyGarage6 жыл бұрын
Yeah those were my thoughts exactly, which is why I wanted to add in those plates to the floor
