You should visit Greece. It's a country that not many cyclists know although there is great weather most of the year , hospital people, great views and a reminder of the ancient Greek civilization throughout the country. There are a lot of ups and downs as 80% of the country is mountainous

Great idea A P! Sounds amazing, where would you recommend?

Global Cycling Network a tour in Cyclades that include Santorini and Mykonos islands is a good option. Islands like Rhodes, Crete and Corfu are great as well. Mount Pylion near the city of Volos has incredible view in the sea and you can have a coffee stop in the scenic village of Makrinitsa under the shadow of the big plane trees. In Peloponnese you will feel the ancient Greek element , Sparta is there, ancient temples and it's the place where Olympic games were held for the first time, still with many uphills and downhills. Meteora on the other hand, doesn't have sea but there are monasteries that are built on giant rocks defying gravity, great place for photos. Metsovo near Ioannina have great view from above and greater traditional food. Thermos is a mountainous region that is next to the Trichonida lake, just like Plastira lake that is near Karditsa and Trikala. Dion is an archeological site in the foot of Olympos the tallest mountain in Greece. Delfi is another archeological site, one of the greatest in Greece, that is between mountains. I hope you visit Greece and have a great time. P.S. The list goes on and on. I am sure that I forgot many nice places for cycling ,so please if someone who is Greek or has visted Greece has something to add , do it under that comment.

Matt and Emma, what a wonderful worldly team. So great watching this episode. Please stay on the road and provide GLOBAL RIDE REPORTS, you are perfect for it. Right now, cycling is the most global it has ever been. The GCN show provides us with the global vision to see other countries and their cultures. GCN has shown that Cycling is the simple vehicle that allows each and everyone of us to share and witness other cultural's and their diversities. Your show provides its viewers with a truly global view giving us the first hand knowledge of our differences, and of course the most important part, our sameness, which brings us all closer together on this small planet we inhabit. RIDE ON!!!!

Another great video. I think the Andalusian tourist board will love you for showing off the great cycling opportunities that they've got over there! I think another great place to cycle would be Croatia. I've never been there, but have seen other people's cycling vlogs and it looks very beautiful and unspoilt. Plus, it's somewhere a little different from where many people would think of cycling in Europe. It's relatively close, and I imagine the beer is very good value. Always a plus!

Was lucky enough to do some riding round Andalusia a few years back. It's worth noting that us northern European types need to be careful in the midsummer months as it get stupidly hot very quickly. Hit 45 degrees C in Sevilla while I was there, which can be dangerous if you're not used to it. If you're there in the summer months, shorter rides and early starts (6 or 7am latest) lets you get the best out of it without becoming punishing - at least, this is what the locals advised me and it worked well! Love the show, keep up the awesome work!

Great video. Welcome to the world of a diabetic athlete Matt. I know that "hallucinating" feeling all too well. Being a type 1 diabetic since 16yrs old i know that blood sugar crash feeling well. And after beconing a runner and triathlete over the last few years the perils of a sugar crash mid race is all to prevalent. Totally understand the wanting to shove all that sugar in your face after you were done. Whilst living in the USA now i do miss europe, so not only do i love the great cycling content of the GCN videos i do enjoy the feeling of being taken back home!!

My dad lives down there, nr. Granada. I get tired just walking, let alone cycling. I see a lot of people (clubs I guess) hitting the roads in pelotons. There was one guy absolutely smashing it and he only had one leg! The Alpujarra looks like a good ride if you like climbs...Regarding the roads, Spain has a long tradition with civil engineering and the main roads are excellent pretty much everywhere.
