None, like every year. Something more serious, that Pog is going to win a lot seems very likely to me. That WvA is going to win a cobblestone monument, is possible, but VDP is better and Pog is coming to Flanders. See WvA only have a chance in PR for RVV, he is just not good enough. VDP has always been the better of the two in RVV. Only Pog can beat a good VDP in RVV.

For Ayuso it will be difficult to win Giro d'Italia but he can do it.The problem he will face is Roglic who will be firs favourite to win Giro d'Italia considering that most likely Pogacar and Vingegaard will not start at the Giro d'Italia.Since begining of 2019 season Roglic won 3 out of 5 Grand Tours when there was no both Pogacar and Vingegaard.So that hot I don't think it will happen in 2025 and for me most likely hot take that can happen is Milan winning green jersy at Tour de France.

Pogacar will not participate in La Vuelta after his epic battle with Jonas in the Tour to focus on destroying everyone in WC and Lombardy. 3. WVA will beat MVDP in a majestic sprint in Roubaix, finally catching his dream. 4. Remco Evenepoel will not win any prestigious road race (GT / monuments / WC). 5. Mads Pedersen will race smartly (boldest prediction by far) 6. MVDP will be WC in CX and MTB, beat Tadej Pogacar in a sprint in Sanremo before losing another epic battle with the slovenian in Flanders. 7. Roglic will beat Ayuso and Yates on the Giro. 8. Pogacar will attack on Monte Sante Marie again, just because he finds it funny.

Is GCN obligated to only highlight racing being available on Discovery+ and Max? In the US, Max provides coverage of RCS races, Peacock has ASO races, and FloBikes has Flanders Classics races. I know it'd be complicated to put all that detail in a video (especially country-by-country), but it would be a valuable service if GCN compiled info on how to watch any given race and left the link in the video description. @Nescio5273 күн бұрын
Rather the other way around. VDP is better and more explosive on the short climbs. LBL is too heavy for Van Aert, and he has no chance against Pog and Remco. RVV is between Pog and VDP this year. In PR Van Aert is equal to VDP.

My predictions (mostly hopes) -Wout wins again (whatever it is, but he does win). -Jonas winning again -Pog doing Pog things (winning Milan-San Remo, and races he hasn't won yet) -Roglič winning Tour de Suisse (because that's the only one-week WT race he hasn't won yet) -We have a real EPIC quartet battle on TdF (Roglič, Pogačar, Vingegaard and Evenepoel battling it out for the ages) -Vollering winning with a team entirely behind her -Derek Gee having more wins (and more attacks) -Remco doing Remco things (with no crashes) -And for us viewers: having a blast watching all these races during 2025!

Glad to have been featured on the video after getting 3 out of 4 predictions right. Thanks! Well, since Pogi got me featured on the video, I will take it up a notch. Pogacar makes history again in 2025, winning four Monuments in a single season (MSR, RVV, LBL, and Lombardia) and the not-yet-achieved version (for males at least) of the Triple Crown (Tour, Vuelta, and the WCRR). He'll also reach 30 wins next season. Thanks for the vids this year! Happy New Year!

@@Blog4Justice Not as easy to predict. - MSR is always a lottery and is still the hardest Monument to predict. - Who knows how Pogi vs MVDP will go at RVV 2 years after their battle in 2023? (I still see Pog as the favorite) - Who knows how much better Jonas can go this time at the TDF if he has an uninterrupted preparation? Also, that TDF battle can affect how much fatigued Pog will be ahead of the Vuelta (which is also unconfirmed at this time)
@rulifaller8474Күн бұрын
@@monsiogabar525At the very least it is not a very sophisticated prediction: Pogi will win everything, after winning everything except MSR last year. It would be more interesting if you could predict which races he will nothing.
@Blog4JusticeКүн бұрын
@@monsiogabar525 Of course, it's a big ask, but he has never been better placed to achieve it. - After Strade Bianche, he has thirteen days in which to prepare for MSR, and the team will be laser-focused on that objective. Pogacar has placed 5th, 4th and 3rd respectively in the last three editions, so he's an established contender. It's a tough nut to crack, but this is an itch he has to scratch and he'll be bringing his A++ game. - I'd like to see MVDP break the record for wins at the Ronde, but that will have to wait until 2026 (when Pog will probably be otherwise occupied). - Jonas will be in better shape for the Tour, no doubt, but I still think Pogacar will win convincingly (taking at least four stages) - Before the course was announced, I wasn't sure whether Pog would attempt the Vuelta, but the hilly/mountainous parcours across northern Spain offers an abundance of opportunities and is climatically favourable; it should be just be a matter of by what margin he wins, and how many stages he chooses to take in the process (six or more, quite possibly), bearing in mind that he will need to keep enough in the tank for the WC in Kigali on 28.09. The team has hinted that he will ride the Vuelta, but confirmation should come mid-January. With the inclusion of the Vuelta, Pogacar's 2025 schedule so far adds up to 67 days of racing (nine more than in 2024), making thirty wins a distinct possibility: 17.02 UAE Tour (7 stages) -23.02 08.03 Strade Bianche 22.03 Milano-Sanremo 28.03 E3 Saxo Classic 30.03 Gent-Wevelgem 06.04 Ronde van Vlaanderen 20.04 Amstel Gold Race 23.04 La Flèche Wallonne 27.04 Liège-Bastogne-Liège 08.06 Critérium du Dauphiné (8 stages) -15.06 05.07 Tour de France -27.07 23.08 Vuelta a España **TBC** -14.09 28.09 UCI Road World Championship [04.10 Giro dell'Emilia] ?? [07.10 Tre Valli Varesine] ?? 11.10 Il Lombardia Pogacari finished 2024 in 17th place in the ProCyclingStats all-time rankings; by the end of 2025, if all goes according to expectations, he should have bumped Jacques Anquetil off 7th spot. Happy New Year! P.S. World Championships in Montreal in 2026 and Haute-Savoie in 2027 suggest an opportunity for four consecutive titles...

How many years do you think Tadej needs to break Mark's TdF stage wins? Tadej is 26 and has 18 stages more to win to equal Mark's record. I think by the time Tadej is 31 he could have a new stage wins record. Wout deserves to win a monument again and if not for bad karma he would have had few more wins already. I wish Tadej wins Milan - San Remo only to see him gain few pounds and try winning Paris-Roubaix. He said that the only way he will race Paris Roubaix if he had won Milan San Remo. Maybe a Milan-San Remo win from Tadej would save Mark's stage record.

Congratulations on your pronunciation of Kasia Niewiadoma's name! Thank you for taking the time to improve it. I appreciate it's not a priority for circa half of cycling Anglosphere but for those of us who die a little with every Pogakar, Rojelic and Kasya, it's a welcome relief. There is a happy middle to be found between "pronouncing every Dutch name with a brewing spit" snobbery and "English no can speak forrin" snobbery. The latter usually cultivated by a made up notion of limited ability of "true Brits" to acquire fluency in foreign languages, which is more like self fulfilling prophecy than reality. You only need to hear Bradley Wiggins effortlessly switch between less than posh English accent and fluent French.

FDJ SUEZ clean sweep in WWT. SDW will be winless in one day races and GC for stage races
@jonoharper47293 күн бұрын
Doubt it...Kopecky is getting stronger in GC and the femme classics, and Anna van der Breggen is coming back to replace vollering. Early testing shows van der Breggen has her old form back. SDW will still be winning, bank on that.
@AlexWatson-t1f2 күн бұрын
@ No Reusser. No Vollering. AvdB is past her prime and will probably be put out to pasture after one season. So I doubt SDW will be able to compete as it has.

Are we going to see GMBN do similar for MTB racing, or have they given that up?
