Really nice to see another quality bottom bracket in the space and to offer solutions for customer out there with issue with there frames, they seem to be more affordable then there competition at the same time having a nice bb shell quality. Like I mentioned before people always want to know if it is good quality but right now you have the literal best rider in the world putting it through its paces so I dont think anyone can question there quality up front. Anyways I hope to have a follow up when I can get some more miles on the bike and I plan to let some friends use the other bb so we should have a nice sample size out there for the follow up

Any machinist can get a part to very tight tolerances with enough time (=enough money). That doesn't mean any machinist can get mass produced parts to be at the same tolerances. Of course pogi's bb will run smoothly, I wouldn't say it's a valid argument for consumers. You know it's just marketing and I don't like that you're considering it as an advantage of the product. Those bbs might be very good, Pogi advertising the brand just doesn't mean anything in terms of quality for consumers. If we want to stop the marketing bullshit we need to recognize it here too but I guess it doesn't run your business. Keep safe with the hurricane coming

Speaking of that misaligned Pinarello frame - I used to do custom work on motorcycles, and it’s standard practice to build up the bike as much as possible, correct any fitment issues, then tear it down and have custom paints and coatings applied. A Pinarello costs almost as much as a motorcycle and I’d pre-assemble it before having it painted. I watch a lot of custom bicycle builds on KZbin and I’m always nervous when I see brand new parts being unpackaged and put on a custom painted frame.

Hi. I'm a programmer and machinist. What you're looking at there is a pretty, anodized bearing holder that happens to be holding an off the shelf bearing and an extra seal. The only company that has made a leap forward is Enduro with their Max Hit bb and headsets. By integrating the cups and bearing as a single unit, the balls become much larger. The only downside is that Enduro bearings aren't all that great.

Angular alignment is dependent on the frame, not the bottom bracket, unless it's a one-piece bottom bracket.
@andersnyberg4034Ай бұрын
@@yonglingng5640 You don't seem to get it, do you? Enabling these things to happen isn't something that customers want. This is just a big marketing video sadly. Instead of giving customers good things, we get bad parts. A good BB shouldn't be bent and enable wear on axle.
@GCPerformance18Ай бұрын
these bb are meant to help fix bad alignment they are made perfect through and also the frame fixers are meant to help realign a bad bottom bracket.... instead of just using a stock bottom bracket to continue wear on frame and also wear on spindel
@andersnyberg4034Ай бұрын
@@GCPerformance18 These will not fix the wear on the spindle. That's the problem with this product. I thought you were a bike mechanic? These are terrible and will damage the axle on your precious crank because they allow they "take out" the bad tolerances on the frame. You are just moving the problem, but still exist. Wouldn't put my two $1200 in a BB like that. One-piece is the way.
@GCPerformance18Ай бұрын
@@andersnyberg4034if the frame was that mis aligned then the bottom bracket would pair into each other. That’s the whole point. These are machined. @yonglingng5640Ай бұрын
@@Eirikkinserdal I know of a better version, BBInfinite's. Their T47I, is also a T47A, due to their one-piece design that still allows the non-drive side sleeve to slide in deeper for T47A. It's practically a 2-in-1 T47 BB.
@chrisyoung8062Ай бұрын
If you replace a press fit BB with a thread together press fit, does that change your Q factor? Obviously you need to have something to put a tool on to tighten the two halves together.
@yonglingng5640Ай бұрын
In all cases I've encountered, no. Even a bottom bracket on a wide-format standard like BB86 and BB386 EVO still has a little room for notches for tools to interact with, just that the flanges are thinner to grab hold of, but still not impossible. This is where tool tolerances need to be tight to have little to no slop, preferably without chamfers too.

They still fit. Treks should have no problems being fitted with any T47I bottom bracket since the 1 mm narrower width doesn't matter that much. If anything, a 1 mm crankset washer can be added if need be. They did this so that something like Praxis Works' T47I have slightly thicker flanges for better tool engagement.
