Can you add the explanation of the different types of white blood cells such as lymphocytes and phagocytes?
@scarlettbevan77563 жыл бұрын
The phagocytes are the white blood cells that change shape to engulf/consume pathogens via phagocytosis There are different types of lymphocytes with different functions Type b produce the antibodies and another type produce antitoxins to neutralise the toxins produced by the microorganisms

really professionally done and clear to understand. One little remark - the correct spelling is heamoglobin.
@Cognitoedu4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the comment. The UK spelling is 'haemoglobin' (which is what we use in the video), while USA spelling is 'hemoglobin'.

Hello there´s an error in the video, it should be spelled as haemoglobin, not haemaglobin at second 44. By the way I love this channel, it saved my time and you guys summarized the contents extremely well. Thanks cognito.

Can i ask a general question? I know i wont need this information for the exam but im curious to know. Since the blood does not flow like a river but in are veins and arteries, how does the platelets heal the wound? does it diffuse? or some other process? Thank you!
@Cognitoedu5 жыл бұрын
So basically - the platelets will just be in the blood, and they'll bind to the wound as they float by. They'll be attracted by chemicals that are released from the wound, and there also will be receptors they can bind on to. Hope that helps!
