If you can't remember how to work out the number of moles, think of it this way: Mass of Mr. Moles Mass = Mr/Ar x Number of Moles

4:13 why do we not include the hydrogen when calculation the Mr since would it not change the calculations to 138 since 1 times 2 is 2

The question is only asking us to calculate the mass of the calcium sulphate so we do not need to think about the hydrogen at all. Hope that helps.

95 is the relative formula mass of MgCl2. Mg has a relative atomic mass of 24 and Cl has a relative atomic mass of 35.5. There are two atoms of Cl in MgCl2, so we need to multiply 35.5 by 2 to get 71. Adding 24 + 71 gives us 95. We multiply 95 by 3 because there are 3 moles of MgCl2. This gives us 285g as the answer.
