A few comments. My dryer is over 10 years old, but this worked well. Bearing wore out, but plate was okay, didn't bother changing the plate, seems to be okay. Replacing that bearing was tricky, helps to have two people. Tip: really look at how you're going to get the belt back on, on my model had to do it without seeing it (and, attach to motor first, then idler pulley wheel). And if you're all the way back there doing the bearing, might as well replace the belt and the glide pads. Repair Clinic is awesome, thank you guys!

You skipped over something very important. Why did I use the self-tapping screws on the drum bearing shaft assembly if I'm not going to use them? Your instructions say to screw the assembly back in, from the inside of the drum using the bolts that came out of it. Now my bolts don't fit and I have to go to the hardware store to find nuts that will fit them., Thanks a bunch!

Sorry for the confusion. We are using the new provided screws for both the bearing shaft and the bearing retainer and discarding the old screws.
