I saved $50 +++ by popping open the faulty switch, cleaning it and giving the metal tab a slight bend to improve contact. Good as new. Those $50 harnesses must cost all of 4 dollars to manufacture. What a scam! It pays to have the curiosity to take things apart and see how they work.

I was pulling my hair out as 3/4 burners did not light, even though they were sparking....turns out when I lifted the range top, 3/4 burner spark ignitors lifted away from the stove top about 1/4 inch....pushed them back with my thumb and SHAZAM....thanks for the help...

I have Bosch Cooktop which has 5 burners. Only center (bigger) one has the issue that sparks and fires, but don't stay on when taking off my hand from knob. What causes this issue and is this related to the ignition switch? or transformer ignition?

Very good, clear instructional video. Now, I have an 8 year old whirlpool gas range. I need to replace the ignition switches. Would this part work? Also I need to replace the knobs as well as possibly the basis and the weight. Any suggestions for 3rd party spares? GE usually asks for a ransom.

I just replaced my spark electrode cables and I can only hear a very faint clicking, but no visible spark. Could this have anything to do with the spark module being bad? Thanks.

my mother spilled water onto one of the stove tops. now, i dont even get a clicking sound/spark when i turn it on, but if i put a lighter/match next to it, the burner comes on. the other 3 works fine. now today, the other 2 besides the one that got spilled water isn't clicking either. only one works while the other 3 are not clicking at all. it is a maytag and there is cover on the stove to remove, but no other way to remove the entire thing to see the spud.

Worked on GE 5burners gas range today. When plugged power on, all burners start clicking.Changed sparkling module, burners switches. Still same problem. Please, advice.

After I replaced my harness all of my igniters will not stop clicking unless I manually light all the burners. I've cleaned and dried the igniters and contact points with acetone, no change. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Make sure you have the switches installed with the gas valve screws set into plastic wells on the bottom of the ignitor switch. It worked to stop the clicking on my old Magic Chef.
