Your video was spot on. Getting the door off went exactly as you said by twisting out. However getting the door back on was not as easy. I suggest, at least for the model you describe and which is the exact same as mine, that the plastic vent above the door is only held on by two screws on the top. Once you unscrew those two scewrs the plastic vent can be removed and the door put on the hinges very easily. Once the door is in place the top plastic vent can be put back. Hope this helps others.

We were having a ton of trouble with putting the door back on, too. What we found was keeping off , or removing, the black plastic ring made it easier to replace the door. It goes back on, easier without it, and it’s easy to replace the black plastic with the door back in place. Just be sure to hold a hand on top of the door while you put the plastic back in place because it doesn’t take much to unseat the door, and you’ll have to start over, pulling the black plastic piece out…

I’m a 60 year old “mechanically challenged” woman who refused to pay $200 for my broken handle and another $175 for installation. Those cost more than what I paid for the microwave in the first place. My handle actually wasn’t broken. Both end caps were. I bought replacements on Amazon for less than $12! After watching your video 3 times and procrastinating for 3 weeks I got the courage to do it myself. Your instructions were right on point! I’m so proud of myself. I just saved approximately $400. If I can do this…anybody can! Now I just have to put the door back on. Any suggestions? Thanks again!

When The handle broke, I did not know what to do,I called some handyman , and he told me he would charged me 150 just for see what the problem was. So I googled it and the handle is very expensive, but thanks to your video I only needed the top cap . 24 hours later I fixed myself. Thank you so much.

I have a similar microwave, my model number is the same except the last three numbers are 4WW instead of 3WW. This video was extremely helpful. It was going to cost me $179 for the handle and I noticed it was the bracket only that needed to be replaced. I found it for $11.00 from Lifetime Appliance Parts and it took me about an hour to finish, the hardest and most time consuming was removing the glass. I first, tried the hard way and then watched the video again for the easy way. Saving $$$$$ was well worth it. Thank you

Very helpful, thank you! I found that removing the slanted piece over the oven’s opening makes it easier to remove/replace the door. 1-2 screws and it slides right off.

Thanks this told me how to take the door apart. The tricky part was getting pins back into the hinge. I had broke the handle by yanking on the handle instead of pulling on it.

That sucks. It's pretty common for them to snap at these brackets. I think you're right about the integrated version. I bet it's more solid.

Thank you came apart just like you said. Mine was a little more severe. The screw head ripped right through the plastic. So I just put a washer under it and it worked just fine. jim

Great video, but I’m having a hard time getting the door off! I opened it all the way as you described and tried to lift up, but there is a plastic stop at the top and there is not enough clearance to lift the door to clear the post to swing it out. Any suggestions?

Hmmm. I had to open my door fully or almost fully before it would allow clearance. Then I lifted it up and tilted it back away from the slots that hold it in place. I hope this helps!

I figured it out, finally. For my model I had to remove the header on the face of the oven. There was a plastic “stopper” that wouldn’t let me raise the door to clear the pins. With that out of the way it was clear sailing to a fabulous DIY.

Not sure. I only bought the little end caps at $8 each. Are you sure you need an entire handle? If your model is similar to this one you and is broken at the top or bottom, you only need end caps.

A hardware service person told me that with this model, they don't replace the handle. They replace the whole door because when you take the door apart, it could cause radiation leaks. Anybody who has insight on this issue, please reply
