My oven was acting up, installed in 98, use oven a lot. Thank-you! I had no idea the igniters wore out. For those who have a broiler, mine used a separate igniter for broil, I never broil so I swapped them around, oven works great now. Something to keep in mind if you need oven right away and have to wait to order a new part.

I used the instructions and fixed my oven. Only problem, the supply store robbed me for $54 for the part. You can get it cheaper on the internet.

Hey quick question I changed out the igniter and the gas safety valve also ohmed out the thermostat and everything checked out fine. But the Oven still doesn’t work. Do you know what else it can be?

Do you get 120 volts coming to the igniter wires when you set it for bake?

I’m not sure I’ll have to double check but I did change out that igniter and I see that it glows bright Orange

That piece gets red hot but gas fire not coming on. You mentioned smelling gas. So I’m guessing that piece still needs to be replaced. Does the piece make any igniter sound like the burners on top the stove?

It doesn’t make a sound but should glow very brightly.
