It is very clear, really the video is very helpful. Unfortunately my combo washing and dryer GE model GUAP270EM4WW, leaking water from bottom center, I failed to remove the center tub so to check the tub seal and bottom bearing. Called a technician who simply said that bearing, transmitter to be replaced, which costs parts only more than$ 600. He didn't remove any thing before giving such statement. Worth mentioning that the machine is working perfectly with all programs, before we stopped it of course to avoid more damage.

great video. very informative. my washer hub rotted out and needed a new hub. problem should of been easily fixed. only problem was the locking nut was way to corroded to the shaft. total loss. just not worth fixing. note: i had to remove the agitator a few years back to remove a apron string that wound up wrapped around the shaft under the agitator. removing the agitator is a little tough sometimes. if you need to remove it i suggest a nylon strap with a 1" x 3' dowel. tie the strap around the agitator at the halfway point and then place the dowel across the top of the opening and then tie the other end of the strap to the dowel. place a block of wood between the top of the basket and the underside of the top of washer. this prevents the tub from rising upwards when lifting the dowel. i actually used a short dog leash as the strap. i would remove the agitator first if i was going to replace the hub. it is easier to remove while the machine is still in one piece. happy fixing😊. the job wasn't a total loss i found 34 cents. i put it towards the purchase of a new washer.😅

I think I just ran into the same problem. Have the nut soaking now. That being said, I think the screws to the tub are in the inside. If I can’t get the nut off, I might remove them and just pull the tub so I can clean the it and the outer basket. If it screws up up, it screws it up. No good to me the way it is anyway. I have never came across a nut this tight. It appears to be corroded to the shaft. I might try to cut the nut off with my rotary tool.

After removing the agitator and screw from the hub. The hub won't come off m. It's a highpoint. It's not spinning and it's very hard to spin basket I think I need to get under that hub

After replacing a new hub nut, it comes loose again after 1-2 washes! Why? It basically makes the wash jump around, so washer will not work!

Same here, tried the $8 blue Loctite, nail polish, super glue and none kept it tight, finally bought a bottle of Loctite 272 ($22.99) at Advance Auto Parts and after 10 loads it still hasn't moved.
