Dude, this is so well done. Both the model and the video are just casual excellence. This is the only model I've ever purchased, besides the McGybeer dragon, and it is SO worth it. I'm excited to see what you create next.

Is there a way to purchase just this model on Thangs without having to become a member? I'm really not interested in your other models, and I would like to support your work, considering it's being stolen, but I really do not want to pay $96 for an annual membership for just one model.

might be a little late but the gear ball on thingiverse is literally this print but not stolen. The owner released it with a regular cc license that allowed redistribution. He changed the license after the first day he released it but anyone who downloaded it under the original license can still distribute the files.

Hey, that's not what i do, but I'll give you a few tips anyway. Bambu lab has the best printers at the moment. They are cheap and reliable. I'd recommend the a1. The fimament is Polymaker dual colour blue and red. Just watch a few videos about 3d printing and you are good to go.

@@Ri0m0agree with bambu partt, curious if polymaker makes some inland cause I have inland in the exact same color/look. Could be 1 manufacturer for both most likely tho

@sadgirl19832002 it's inland blue/red on a bambu p1s. It's kinda a silky filament without the shine but it definitely likes hot.

hiding this behind a subscription model is disappointing ... it would have served you will to make it available as a Thangs purchase. Too late now, similar models from others are now available non commercial for free, or commercial as a single price purchase.
@Ri0m03 ай бұрын
@@ozskeeter Then go ahead and buy those. I wouldn't be able to make stuff like this without members. That's the absolute right thing to do if you don't want there to be good models to print in the future. Btw. you can cancel instantly, which makes this a single purchase.
@ozskeeter2 ай бұрын
@@Ri0m0 missed my point .. I would have purchased if available as a single item purchase. I do not subscribe for just one model. I do not subscribe because in the past sometimes cancelling a subscription has not been implemented and multiple unauthorised payments occur .. a matter of trust of the system (not specifically for the current designer)
@booshong2 ай бұрын
@@ozskeeter I had the same reaction. I really wanted to print this, but as someone who usually just prints free stuff or my own designs, I was annoyed that I had to subscribe for it. But then I found a 50% off code, making the sub price only $5. So I did that, downloaded, printed, and literally just assembled it. And I'm blown away by how satisfying and impressive the result it. I would happily have paid more for the single download, but I got the same result for cheaper (just as @Ri0m0 points out), and now I'm excited to try his other models. Also, his temperament in these assembly videos further reinforces my belief that this is creator who deserves recognition, and I'm happy I've contributed. Cancelling a subscription might be annoying, but don't let that prevent you from enjoying and supporting creators like this.
@booshong2 ай бұрын
Follow up: I just found out (from a recent reddit post by someone who had the same issue) that my discount code signed me up for a 3-month commitment, and the discount only applies for the first month. So now I'm paying $25 instead of $5. Somehow I missed the (literal) fine print in the checkout flow. I don't blame this on the creator, but I'm pretty angry at thangs for using this kind of dark pattern.
@Ri0m02 ай бұрын
@@booshong Hmm, thats not what i intended. I fan specific the commitment in a discount code. I always leave it blank since i thought that was 1 month. I'll set it to 1 now. But maybe that applies to all discounts regardless?
