Also did you know Kona bikes were in trouble, but now bought back by the guys who started it from the venture capitalists who had bought it and were ruining the brand? Those tyres still look like new, lots of life left in them! Many more thousands of miles/kms before you need to change them.

Super!! Have a great time in the old country ;) I emigrated like 20 years ago or so. All that bike infrastructure, like you're showing in IG - was not even in conception phase back then :D Also people didn't do so much sports like nowadays. EU accession, open minds and hard work of Polish society, definitely boosted that civilizational transformation in such short time span (despite, some populists are keepin' on denying and dissing it). Also beginning of May was very, very cold this year. Szerokiej drogi!! Mam wielką nadzieję, że wrzucisz jakieś filmy z tej podróży!!!

How much does the bike weigh with all the gear loaded? It must be 60 lbs. Pretty hard for even a guy to peddle into a headwind. On the other hand, the fact that a woman is riding instead of a heavy guy means it can be loaded up more.
@WheelsonaBike6 ай бұрын
No idea how much it all weigs as I haven't put it on a scale. But let's assume this: 20kg for bags and 13kg for the bike. So that's about 70 lbs. It's heavy, but I get strong fast. And it's as light as it'll get.
@AndyYoung7896 ай бұрын
@@WheelsonaBike Thanks for the reply. 70 lbs! That's a lot of weight for a petite woman to pedal, especially into the wind. At least Poland doesn't have too many hills.
@WheelsonaBike6 ай бұрын
@AndyYoung789 Poland has mountains and steep hills. I'm not petite, and I am strong. Also, headwind is not a daily occurance. I had plenty of it while crossing Canada with even more load and I managed. Strength develops with time.
