Beautiful van build. Love the clean and straightforward approach of this one. One side note, and I don't mean to sound rude at all, but I run a video production company and wanted to give a friendly bit of feedback. I watch all of your videos and notice the audio is clipping on the vast majority of them. I would suggest to your video guy to turn down the gain / volume in camera to prevent this. It makes it have a slightly distorted sound when you speak at slightly higher volumes. Again, not trying to be rude, and I only mention it because I love watching your build videos. Thanks for sharing.

We’ll take all the input we can get. I appreciate it. I think I get loud at times and forget I have a mic on my shirt. Lots of years in a shop around machinery probably doesn’t help either. Thanks for the suggestion.

Love all your videos very informative, we are getting ready to build our 2022 Transit out and trying to figure out charging system. We are not going to build off the grid type more of a overnight or two moto / mtb van. I have purchased a/c unit that will run off our Honda generator, we also will have 200watts of solar. The other components will be12v maxx air fan a dometic ice chest some led lights and a few usb ports. The gold zero unit is what we are thinking about getting have you been happy with yours and I'm sure theirs away to keep unit topped off thru these sources correct ? we are very beginner when it comes to electrical. Thank you in advance
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
With the generator to run the AC I think the GZ3000 would be perfect. I use mine in my family camper to run lights, fan, heater, fridge, and electric kettle. Most trips are 3 nights and we’ve always had power. Add the yeti link and connect to your alternator. You should be just fine.

Hey guys. I'd love to follow your lead and put the Falken Wildpeak 245/75/R16 120/116s E tires on my stock AWD Transit 250, but I wanted to ask if you had consistently found that there isn't any rubbing up front (with liners). I'm reading a lot of conflicting opinions/experiences in the forums. Thanks.
@robthompson6674 Жыл бұрын
Got my answer. The Falken Wildpeak 245/75/R16's did NOT fit on my T-250 Transit without the need to trim the pinch weld and completely eliminate part of the wheel well liner. Hope that helps someone else avoid making the mistake of thinking they do.

Nice van! did u install the 8 inch display screen or order it with van? Know anybody that does upgrad from 4 inch without sync? good call on heater, on ours there was a T in gas line to hook up so no need to drop tanks on these vans. Never had problem yet. Thanks for the video. I have a 2019 148 medium. Curios on the wheel change how you are handling calibrating the speedometer? Sounds like some folks have been able to do it, but wind up with a fault from the ABS system that sets the lght.. Appreciate it.
@AVCRIG Жыл бұрын
I haven’t ever adjusted my Speedo. My understanding is it can be done in Forescan, but I have yet to pick it up. It’s off by %10 so it’s easy math to do. I tend to just stick with the speed limit and I get by ok.

Hello AVC, love your setups! One question, I have a 2021 transit, dual battery setup and using Yeti 3000X also. The yeti link was charging the yeti upwards of 700W for a few day and now almost nothing. Do you have the same issue ? If so, how did your get around it?
@JeffTScott2 жыл бұрын
what was battery at when you noticed? My older unit would sometimes drop to 96% before it started charging (yeti 1400). Havent had issue on newer 1500x.
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
I have had good success with the link. I’d check your ground connection first. I find most electrical problems come from a bad ground. How did you connect to your CCP on your drivers base? The small stud or the larger? Definitely need to be on the larger as it’s rated to a higher amperage. Grab your volt meter and check voltage at all your connections with the vehicle running. If voltage is being supplied to the link module I’d check your app and make sure it’s still in vehicle mode. Hope this helps!
@achatssurnet68872 жыл бұрын
@@AVCRIG thanks for the fast answer! I tried smaller stud and straight to the battery afterwards (as GZ suggest). I’ll check ground, voltage an try bigger stud. Always on car mode. Thanks again! Keep up the good work 👌
@achatssurnet68872 жыл бұрын
@@JeffTScott hey Jeff! Doesn’t seems to matter the pourcentage…I eat the transit 2021 might have a « smart » alternator that lower voltage after the truck battery is fully charge and the yeti thinks that the car is not running since the voltage is lower than around 13V…I’ll keep investigating.

With the larger tires, the spare no longer fits underneath the vehicle. What was the clearance issue with the factory spare mounting system? Thanks!

The new tire fits tight against the rear axle. If you deflate the tire it can wedge in there, but it’s still a pain and then what’s the point of a spare! Haha. Hope this helps.
