Thanks for the great review guys. We have been using it in a few movies and I found that if you use Matthews slider stands they actually work really well with this and it's a lot easier to carry than standard c-stands.

2 things: 1. Is Pimp Your Production still a thing? This definitely seems like a thing that would be used on that show. Or maybe Pimp Your Production is just being recycled as Gear Head? 2. I feel like the longer your rail, the more likely you are to encounter bending. Have you had that problem where your rail bends as you move the dolly towards the middle?

hey your work is awesome!! i have a question about the sound recording aspects in film making. According to you which of these is the best option while shooting a short film. 1. the use of mikes during a scene for properly recording the sound. 2. the dubbing option which is done after the shoot. i always prefer mikes but some fellows told me to dub the voice of actors. Really confused :-(

Do you have/can you do a "extremely low budget" video? Like for teens like me, because all the videos about low budget the prices are between 100-800! Haha I would have to work reaaaally hard to get that! (Would have, if I had time) Because I really want to shoot more videos. Sadly I am not happy with the outcome of the ones I made already, mainly because they don't look professional. I know it's hard to get that cinematic look at my age, but I'm a perfectionist and I'd like to improve my work. So I thought maybe you could help me with low budget gear!

I didn't say anything here because I have been very vocal about how much I love Kessler gear for years. Which is why I teamed with him to make Pimp Your Productions. In fact, for the final episode of Pimp Your Productions - I didn't make any money at all. It was a fun collab that I put every dollar into the budget to make, because I honestly believe in his products and their company. It's a bummer that it seems I need to waste episode time explaining the same things I say often. If I talk about gear on the show it is only because I love and use (or would use) it myself. We have partnered with companies in the past to help us make short films like Portal Combat, Action Month, Bloodtober, etc... But I am never paid to say nice things about their products, and I only say what I 100% believe. All that to say - no money went into my pocket for doing this review.

I'm catching up on Film Riot and you are a legit Kessler fan boy. Not that I really said that you aren't. There's no shame in loving your gear. I'd marry the Canon 5D (That I've been borrowing for about 2 months) if it were legal in my state.

This dolly is great. I've used it in the past and love it, but I'm really excited to use something called the Camera Goat (www.cameragoat.com/) It's exactly like the Kessler one but I think that the legs are a bit more clever and I think it's a bit lighter. Really pumped to use it!

Well, Luke Skywalker got that one wrong, too. A parsec is a distance, not time. It's equal to 3.26 light years - which is also a distance, not time. I can't believe that one even got past the hundreds of people involved in the film. For Shame!

Sup rumblers !? How da life treating ya guys ? Hav ya realized there is some nifty CGI film, looking good in the theater that suddenly appears horrible on the high definition TV screen ? How do ya avoid problems like this ? Do ya just go around ask for more budget ? Or ya think the practical effects are going to find their way to come back ? Y'know just built whole goddamn thing, & just shoot them the way it is. I would loooovvve to know the cheapest way to avoid whole damn thing, YO !!! (笑´・艸・)Kek !!!
