Got this jacket this past fall. I have thoroughly loved it since. It was way more affordable than filson, Barbour, or similar brands, but of equal quality. It layers well for colder weather and the game pocket in the back is great for a beanie, gloves, or baseball cap. I honestly couldn't be happier. I think I wear the jacket every day, though that may change for the summer. I'll probably rewax it this summer though just to refresh it.

I have this jacket while its nice jacket there is one major issue i have with it, that I almost returned. Its the collar! Its waxed on top and flannel under which makes no sense. When its cold or rainy, you pop the collar to shield from wind and you get cold wax against your skin which feels very uncomfortable, meanwhile the flannel is then exposed to the elements. I wish flannel was on top. Outside of that its nice coat, does run slim so not for layering which I like, because I run hot so like slim profile. I got it in sale so I kept it but I would have returned otherwise.

@@Huckberryco EDCraf makes a very good point about the collar. The classic Barbour jacket (like many other field jackets) has a corduroy facing on the top of the collar, presumably for the very same reason.

Was going to pull the trigger on this and actually let it double as a bird hunting jacket. Two bits to adjust to make it that next level of functional where I'd buy it: 1) something softer on the collar so that, when popped, you have something warm against your neck instead of cold and rough, 2) slick sleeves so it's easy on and off with a sweater/fleece/long sleeved shirt-when I have to grab my cuff to get a shirt sleeve through a jacket sleeve I always end up leaving that jacket on the hook more times that putting it on. That said - quality, look, durability, materials...all so high. Want to buy this jacket if it had those couple adjustments

Wish you guys would have mentioned what colors you were showing in the video. Wondering if you guys might want to do a video showing the various color ways of your waxed lineup in different lighting like indoor and outdoor bright and sunny and dusky dark etc. Great vid of a great product. I actually have a field tan flannel lined trucker delivering any minute! Needless to say I can not wait!😜

What is the weight of the canvas on this jacket? You mention it is the same as the flannel lined trucker, which is 7oz, but there is no mention on the jacket page of the canvas weight.

What do you guys use to rewax it?

We recommend an Otter Wax Fabric Wax Bar. Easy to apply by rubbing the bar into the canvas. Hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer and let it set 24 hours and you're good to go!

How does this jacket work for women in terms of sizing? I always tend to like men’s jackets better than women’s and I have been looking for a jacket just like this for a long time - but sizing and fit are always a gamble. I tend to wear small W jackets but do have fairly broad shoulders so sometimes need a W medium. Any feedback is greatly appreciated- thanks!

You're right! The sizing difference for men's and women's can be tricky to gauge. I'd recommend trying the XS first. However, if you intend to layer with product, it might be best to go with a S. All that said, we offer free exchanges through our return portal if you wanted to swap the size initially purchased!

Been on the fence btwn pulling the trigger on either a Flint & Tinder or a Barbour waxed jacket for a about 2 yrs now for a 1st and perhaps only waxed jacket. Who knows, I might change my mind and try both brands eventually. The Hudson jacket is a good addition to the Flint and Tinder line up because regardless of how cool they look, trucker jackets aren’t for everyone 😆.

From pictures the F&T Trucker looks more tailored and modern/ tighter to the body than the Hudson but she’s saying the opposite. Is that right?

Sup Brendan - Compared to the Hudson, the Trucker definitely has a more tailored silhouette and hits right at the waist. The Hudson is our take on the classic hunting jacket. It has a modern fit and although not quite as slim as the Trucker - still can be classified as tailored when compared to the original styling of the hunting jacket. Hope that helps clear it up!

Word to the men that are built like men; I don't know who they are using as the "model" for sizing on these jackets, but it's safe to assume that they're "men" (in the loosest sense of the word) who've spent their lives avoiding any kind of physical exertion. This jacket isn't cut or sized for someone who has reasonable upper body mass-if you have a spoon chest, the back of an 11-year-old video gamer, or noodle arms...get you some. All that said, the jacket is exceptionally nice. Good quality materials, and excellent fit and finish.
