Great video. We had a khyam tent which was fantastic before went to a caravan and now want a tent again. I did not want an air tent and needed advise on the option. Really appreciated Honest review. Thanks this looks the ticket

That tent is bigger than my flat lol 😆. It is a heavy tent, but not a problem when being transported by car, I do like the way you can cinch back the roof with the cords, very handy for hotter days. Great video, enjoy the rest of your weekend mate 👍

Good evening. I've been out in it again recently but forgot to bring the inner. I will try to make sure the next time I'm out in it I use the inner so you can see what it is like but it may not be for a while as I've got a few backpacking trips planned next, but I will do it as soon as I can. Loved your video and have actua!!y purchased this tent, instead of the Robens Klondike 10 that we were thinking of buying. One question - if the tent gets a soaking, is the material quick drying? Tia.

Morning Robin. When it has got really wet, a sunny day soon dries it up again. We've used it loads since buying it and love it. Hope you enjoy many camps in it. 👍

Watched your vid again as now have erected Kiowa for the first time. However, had a heck of a job to get the pole in and upright. Fought it all the way! Have you any ideas please on why we found it so hard as the pole seemed too long for the space available! We did put the plastic end pieces on BOTH ends of the pole. Is that supposed to happen? We would welcome any of your tips/experience to help us with this pole on future trips. TIA.

It's hard work get used to it the first time or two. Works well with 2 people. Make sure the top of the pole is in the top of the Peak and then together bring the pole in, thinking about pulling up all the time. Definitely use the rubber caps on both ends. Any other questions let me know but hopefully in no time you'll have it sorted 👍

It works better with rubber caps only on the floor, in heavy winds with the guy rope and skirt pulled tight the centre pole will cut through the rubber cap at top of pole. When I emailed robens to ask for replacement caps they said the caps are only necessary for the floor. I've had mine for 7 years and pitched it for 5 years without rubber cap on the centre pole, in someways it makes it easier to pitch because the rubber doesn't grab hold of the material and allows it to move if needed.

@@thedeeptone1986 Thank you, very interesting, but if the top of the pole cuts through the rubber cap on the top, won't it do the same thing to the tent material without a cap and go through the tent material? Has there been any damage to the roof of your tent without a cap?

Why is it called Kiowa? I am a proud member of the KIOWA TRIBE.

My guess is because the manufacturer thought it sounded good/cool or what have you. Ya know like Rolls Royce named there motorcar The Silver spirit like Ford naming the Mustang The Ford Mustang………….
