If your Nissan E-NV200 electric van has a dead 12V battery and no power, the gear selector will be locked in the park position. This is also the same with any Nissan combustion engine automatic too.
If you need to push, tow or winch the vehicle, you must put the gear selector into neutral. To do this, remove the gear shift lock cover and push down inside with a screwdriver or the key, which releases the shift lock and enables you to move the gear selector.
All Nissan automatics have a shift lock with a little plastic cap covering the access hole. If this is removed, they are easily lost. In this case, I'm in a Nissan E-NV200 electric van and Nissan UK are charging £202 for a replacement cap. This must be the worlds most extortionate priced car part!
This shift lock cap/cover/plug is part number 34956-4FA0A and currently costs £202.40 inc VAT.
