6:45 Double declutching and Dual Clutch Transmission are different. Double declutching is a technique used, in India, by drivers of heavy vehicles like Ashok Leyland, etc. This is used to synchronise the speed of the gears while shifting, mainly while downshift to accelerate the vehicle. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) or Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) is a power transmission arrangement where in which 2 clutches (diaphragm and spring) are attached to 2 co-axial shafts mounted with odd and even gears.

Older Trucks and Buses needs double declutching, not because they are DCT, but because they do not have Synchronising arrangement and have normal spur gears. Hence the first clutching is to shift the gear to neutral and the second clutching for easy engaging of the desired gear. Another thing is regarding AT. Torque Converter is not a gear box, but only does the function of Clutch, where as Gear shifting is done through internal Clutches and Brakes of a series of Planetary gears inside the Gear Box. Here there is no shifting of gears and change in speed (or rpm variation) is effected through blocking and releasing of different sets of Clutches and Brakes. Hope my explanation is correct ?

0:02 I grew to like the AT (torque converter) in my kuTTy Brio.. although mileage is an abysmal 16kmpl even on the highway, the adequate power makes it reliable in almost all situations.. (of course, with all things, do not rough-use them purposefully.. optimal and sane use of anything automobile-related -- along with regular servicing -- is the best way to maintain them in good condition for longer)

I liked the video, but you could have also told the type of gearbox in current Indian cars and the relative advantages/disadvantages. For example, car 1 has DCT while car 2 has CVT, and CVT may be better in Indian roads/quicker response/etc. Also, could you increase the audio volume when you record? Thanks.
