6:45 Double declutching and Dual Clutch Transmission are different. Double declutching is a technique used, in India, by drivers of heavy vehicles like Ashok Leyland, etc. This is used to synchronise the speed of the gears while shifting, mainly while downshift to accelerate the vehicle. Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) or Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) is a power transmission arrangement where in which 2 clutches (diaphragm and spring) are attached to 2 co-axial shafts mounted with odd and even gears.

0:02 I grew to like the AT (torque converter) in my kuTTy Brio.. although mileage is an abysmal 16kmpl even on the highway, the adequate power makes it reliable in almost all situations.. (of course, with all things, do not rough-use them purposefully.. optimal and sane use of anything automobile-related -- along with regular servicing -- is the best way to maintain them in good condition for longer)

Dear Hani, Your description about epicyclic transmission (Torque converter driven) is not clear or better not correct. You didn't even mention the planetary gear set arrangement which is responsible for different gear ratios. Could have studied it a bit n done this!!! By the way all CVTs use torque converter to couple the transmission with engine. Cheers
