Heat mat is enough...but having a heat gun is handy..

Mine has a faulty fan it spin rattles everytime the surface performs any task, would be a good idea to change it for a New fan? Or just disconnect the fan and use external cooling?

Which temperature do I need to setup the heat mat? 100C?

Normally it runs automatically..100c is fine, but try to go with 80 C step by step..different devices need different heating levels..

How can I get the correct screen? The Surface Pro 3 screen I ordered is smaller than the Surface Pro 3 in front of me. The vendor website made no mention of different Pro 3 versions or how to pick the correct screen. They just offer one and it is too small.

Hello, in the back of the tablet, on the underside of the kickstand is a message from the Microsoft corporation and says the model of your Surface Pro, mine is model 1645. Use that model number when buying a new screen so it can fit properly.

well it depends on the mat you have..but it starts gradually and goes up to 100c

Please you not show the whole heating and removing process to see if you were able to remove the lcd screen without breaking it? I can see a different screen than the one you showed on the first veiw and the procedure you used with those plastic plates, depending on how fragile the screen is, I find it hard to believe that It won't break that way.

You can remove the screen without damaging, Heating process will depend on the device to device. Sometimes 2-3 minutes are fine and sometimes you need to do extra..This process is hard and takes time & patience. we are using the same screen. Also there is a chance of breaking the LCD as well ( I will never say "No")
