It depends on what exactly you classify as a beginner or intermediate. Most of the content on this channel is geared towards people between K20 and K30 imo. I think the best advise would be to , don't build any gear until your are able to build Champion gear that will help you gather resources. Also kill as many monsters and boss, and join alliance rallies. You will need to use a timer for your bubble. If you are losing troop when your bubble drops , you are also losing because of the cost to heal them. Very import to keep your bubble always UP.

Having a strong wall general isn't really important in early game. You should instead only train as many troops as you can ghost. So this type of video for new(er) players wouldn't be very helpful. As you grow, give your wall general your hand-me-downs to help with undead until you can build Ach gear. And if you're really new, just take your wall general off when you're doing pvp, otherwise you're just going to spend a lot of revive stones and time reviving them because you don't have the troops to make any of the defense strategies work.

Im having such a hard time picking wall generals. I have some good ones i just don't think i'll ever get more than one or two copies. I don't know if it makes more sense to go for someone from the tavern. Right now i have Brock as the main and Dewey as assistant. They kind of cover everything, ground, mounted, range, and siege. We just played an alliance that had several billion power players and i noticed a lot of them had Queen Boudica and 10's of millions of t1 mounted.

Yeah, Queen Boudica is available in the tavern and she is easier to ascend 👌 Unfortunately, it can be tough when dealing with premium wall generals. Depending on how much you spend in the game, if you do at all, that will help determine what kind of wall general you should go for. In my case, I use George Dewey as my main 👍. Can't afford the expensive ones 😅🤣. F2P options for wall generals that you could consider are - Queen Boudica, Zachary Taylor (in the relics), Yi Sun Sin, Dewey, and a few others 😇👍

@@RedEvony Thanks. I think i'll stick with Brock and Dewey for now. Everyone seems to want to attack with archers and siege in events i've played in so far. So my thinking is i'll counter and build a strong ground force along with siege and lots of siege buffs/debuffs to counter their siege. I've made several million of every t1 just to confuse them. Because for me i always find someone who's well balanced the hardest to figure out reading reports. It's hard to find a weakness unless you're just much bigger than them and can overpower them

IYO, which should be the 2nd priority to craft the general gear? I put ranged general my first priority. But I can’t think of after that which general gear should be crafted. Mounted or ground or wall defense or sub-city gear? Can you please give me the suggestion? Thanks 😊🙏 Consul’s staff...🤔 Well, I think it’s an interesting gear piece. Imo would probably go nicely on Shajar. Give it full stars ⭐️ and just place it on her. Don’t know if it will be able to get the new rss refines, but we’ll have to wait and see. However, considering how much you’d need to spend to get it in the cake 😅😅, you’d probably be getting it as a bonus for spending to get something else like the civilization gear. I wouldn’t recommend anyone spending to get the staff specifically. Those are my brief thoughts 😊

Boudica is a decent general, particularly if you have a lot of cavs. Imo, I don’t think she is “the best” wall general, but she’s certainly one of the most convenient options right now. Sure, I have a comparison video already planned, but I’ll look into doing one for wall generals after that. 😉👍

Glad to help 😊👍 To put it simply, Mounted troop Attack in general, works in every situation, both in-city and outside your city. As the name suggests, In-city Mounted troop Attack only works inside your city when you are defending. In-city stats will not be applied in any condition other than inside your city. So when it comes to city defense, they are pretty much the same.

😂😂 no knowledge is lost 😉 Even though you may not win a defense right now at K27, you can certainly start working on other things to make it “more painful for them to win” against you 😁 You will eventually get to a good point were defenses will become more realistic. So no worries there 👍

I still lose on defense but my enemies go with several wounded 😁

Unfortunately, skill books don’t work on duty officers. However, if the duty officer’s main skill has any troop or in-city buffs, then those will apply 😉👌

@@RedEvony would you recommend skipping dragon gears and ares in a brand new server and aim for k33 forge start weapons there archamendaie and Plantagenet?? Or go dragon upgrade to ares ?

Simple answer: No. There are some gear pieces that would give you a better advantage as Ares. It would also depend on how much civilization gear you have and if it will be enough for all your generals. At the very least, I would recommend you try to achieve the requirements for crafting Ares gear. Even if you don’t craft them now, as long as you have cleared the requirements, you can make them anytime you wish 👍

Also, to be conservative, you can make sure to only craft dragon gear that you will end up upgrading to Ares 👍

Just found this! You mention in the video that it is important to have ground troops, if the enemy is hitting with ranged why is ground important, and Im a k35 with only t11 ground so I have neglected everything ground related.

That’s because ground troops preferentially kill ranged troops (although influenced by other factors like buffs)

Is it ok to invest gems and resources in generals like Spartacus, Theodora, Alfred the Black, and Mulan to buff them up 5 stars and over level 20, or should i wait for a general like Andrew Jackson, Marshall, Dewey, etc. How should i focus my defense at my level. Hi 👋 I would say wait until you get better generals. Unfortunately, when you consider all the other options that you will get along the way, Spartacus, Mulan and co are not good generals. Don’t invest too much into them. Theodora is a good general for killing bosses, so for her, you can invest more than the others 👍 For the level you are at now, don’t worry too much about defense. Focus on your growth and developing your keep in terms of research and buffs. Defense will come later 😉👌

i went for the same gear on my wall gen, expet helmet, where cour. helmet sounds better option.. but what are your thoughts on combining civilization gear, more precise Koryo helmet and Koryo bracers? barcers have more siege range than ach ring and in combination we get + 30 % ground and mounted troops defence and HP. do you think stats wise is it worth it?

As I stated in the video, the selection shown was excluding civilization gear, largely because it is currently only available by coining, and there are still more gear pieces to be released. That being said, the Koryo bracers look awesome!! Will definitely be a big plus to have, if you can afford to get it 😅 I don’t know whether the bracers and the helmet would be the best combination 🤔, but if you had a ground focused general like Leonidas, Yi Sun Sin or Robert The Bruce, those 2 pieces would be great! 👍 Even aside from those generals, would definitely be worth considering. Depending on your general and troop focus though, a different combination might be more advantageous 👌 But one thing you need to keep in mind is debuffs. A lot of people have high ground defense and HP debuffs. So you might potentially only be getting half of those stats. Just another point to consider when doing your selection 😇, but would still be very much worth looking at 👍

He is giving way to much value to debuff. That -15 isn't that important you should have 2 pieces of ares for attack it is much more valuable than full 6 piece ach set.

That was the convention some time ago. But once Evony introduced the Set Attributes feature, achaemenidae become more valuable for defense. Of course, you are free to gear up as you wish. But when you take into account that your opponents may have max debuffs on you, and what it would cost you to make up for that -15% debuff, giving up the full achaemenidae set does not seem advantageous. With civilization gear however, the buffs on the pieces are much higher than on ares or achaemenidae, so that changes things. Depending on the choices, combining civilization gear on defense may prove advantageous.

I have 8 ach sets in my subs debuff is not a priority on wall general. I can't put 15% attack in a sub. The best defense is a good in city offense.

If you had a full achaemenidae set on your wall general, then you’d have 9 sets. Yes, you can’t put +15% attack in your subs, but you can use attack buffs, research, monarch gear, offering... There are several ways to increase your attack (even if momentarily). Not many ways to increase debuffs. And with generals getting much higher stats with civilization gear, debuffs are more important now. But of course, we can agree to disagree. That’s perfectly fine 😇

I think you already stated it, and it was the first point I made in the video: your wall general buffs ALL of your troops. Too much focus on one troop type will likely leave the others weak. That’s just my personal opinion from experience. So imo, instead of going full courageous, go with the first 3 pieces as shown in the video. For the last 3 pieces, you can decide what you think would be a better fit for you. 👌

Hi, I am really confused about wall general skill books does it add to stats? I tried to add a range attack lvl 1 skill book on my wall general but under monarch details it did not add any at all.

Yes, the skill books will add to your stats 👌 The best way to check it is through battle reports. Find a dead keep on your server and make 2 attacks: 1 without the skill book and 1 with the skill book, then compare your buffs 👍

If you are at Lv27, then I don't think you need to worry too much about gear 😅 Just put some Kings gear or Dragon gear on your wall general and keep focusing on your development. You will get better gear later 😇👌

The issue with civilization gear is that there’s a lot of them and they are not readily accessible to every one yet. So if you have civilization gear, feel free to use them, as long as it makes sense for your general 😉👌 Once they are readily available, I will make a video on that 👍

Unfortunately, I only have anecdotal evidence on this. I personally think they work, but Derrick Defies did a video where he did extensive checking to show that they don’t work. You get them mainly as drops from boss monsters. B13 and up, C2 and up give achaemenidae scroll drops. Imo, B13 is the best for achaemenidae scrolls. But fair warning, it can take an awful long time to get them 😅

No video on that unfortunately. It would depend on how strong your cav general is, but you’d be looking at a minimum of 800K t11 cavs (as a rough estimate) That being said, you really shouldn’t be killing B12 with t11s. You should be looking at t12 cavs at least 👌

@@RedEvony Theses videos take time to create. I am asking because I applied gear to my subordinate city generals with three spears and two axes. This helped me to make my attacks more powerful against the boss 1-7 monster. At level 25 everything in the game changes with the extra march and unlocking T10 troops.

Ok. Just to clarify, are you asking for gearing up your generals? Or specifically for your wall general? In terms of crafting, it’ll depend on what you want to do in the game. It’s a long wait until K33. If you could wait till then, then ok. But if not, you will certainly need to craft some gear for your generals

What gear should a K29 put on JJ?

At K29 you’ll be looking at having Dragon gear on JJ. For the weapon, most people will go with either the Axe or the Sword. Try and balance out the other pieces that you have as much as you can Also keep in mind that this is “interim” gear. You will be changing all these pieces later. So to avoid waste, I would suggest making pieces that you will either upgrade to ares later or you will move to other generals when you are done. So you will need to have some idea of what future gear you would need. You can check out the rest of my Ares vs. Achaemenidae videos for that👌 As for refining, don’t spend much effort on refining your dragon gear. You can do a bit, but as much as you can, save up your refine stones for later. You will definitely need them 👍 You could still manage using Kings gear, but at the stage you are at, kings gear will probably be a bit weak. So focus on dragon gear 👌

Not necessarily. I’m not really sure what you mean by “end game” here, but it will definitely take time and effort to build up a decent defense. Also, it will depend on who you are trying to defend against and how much of a difference there is between the keep levels & buffs. In the meantime, you can always ghost and bubble 👌
