A little late but anyone playing the campaign on inconcievable or insane, i highly recommend doing the dom and maria easter egg in act 3 ch.2, the easter egg will give you a boltok with one shot in the chamber 18 in total that one shots anything. I used this for the swarmak, killed it in one shot, didn't even have to pop a blister.

As a completionist I wrote this game off because of this. Now after seeing this video and the fact that literally half the comment section managed it, gives me so much motivation to go back and do it. If you've done Insane you'll be fine. Inconceivable is easier for almost every encounter. The same strats work but are a bit quicker due to reduced enemy HP. There was a handful of random encounters that went worse for me on inconceivable (for some reason the first Pouncer engagement actually went poorly for me and I died quite a few times, while insane was first go I think) but other than that, the Vulture fight is the only section that seems genuinely harder because of the new difficulty. Hey man, thank you for the time and effort put into this! I used the video from start to finish for my run. All the tips were extremely useful, and I didn't mind you straying off topic one bit. I have a suggestion for anyone stuck around 2:07:49, juvie wave. Let the bots use the turret run back downstairs(grab boomshot before you go and grenades) when the juvies start coming run all the way back then sit back and use boomshot or lancer, you should plant a grenades if you want. easy as pie

I’ve been debating going back to do Inconceivable. I’ve beaten all Gears games on Insane, this one was the most difficult for me by far. For me, there were three encounters that were absolutely a nightmare on Insane: The elevator to hell The Juvie encounter at the museum And the Swarmak I probably retried the Swarmak 250 times before I succeeded on Insane. Do I want to go through that misery again?? I gotta say, you make these look easy so I may be up for it! Edit: I followed the guide and got through the whole game in about 10 hours or so. It was great watching this guide!

A lot of people seem to not know the Swarmak has HP. A huge amount, sure. But you can kill it without doing any of the transformer/blister bits. I usually do one transformer to speed it up, and then fill it with torque rounds and lancer bullets. Takes about 6 to 7 minutes. No trauma needed, just blindfire

Dang, you made that first turret section look easy! My strat was to kill the first wave of indies on the left without the barrels, so I could use it to completely wipe out the second wave. Even doing that, I was still stuck there for hours.

Love this run even if I am a bit late to the party. Finished my own inconceivable run a few weeks ago as part of doing all the Gears series at the hardest. Only have 2 and Judgement left! I'd say the Boltok feels at its best in 4- in the other games it sometimes feels like you're not hitting anything. Here it has the right amount of kick and impact.

Boltok was always one of my favourite weapons. In gears 5 it feels like its a longshot with more ammo. Im trying to beat gears4 on insane now but I died like 15 times in the prologue thanks to my aggressive playstyle and bad aiming. Its gonna be a lots of fun for sure.

@@illtakethatasacompliment5839 if you manage 4 on insane, inconceivable shouldn't be a problem. Like many others I found it easier as the same strategies work but enemies die quicker :)

what i dislike about this games campaign start is that humans act like grubs, the drones are creatures with a great tolerance to pain... humans are not and even a burst from one mk1 lancer should be enough to destroy them

I found the swarmak the easiest fight, you can damage it by shooting its blisters when you HAVEN'T shot the transformers. Just carefully shoot it with like 2000-3000 lancer bullets and it works :p.

Or shoot one transformer to shorten the fight a bit :)

Rewatching this awesome run, way smoother than my own inconceivable run I can tell ya! Great work. One thing- when you're aiming the siege beast around 4:18:30 I dont think you can actually die. Sometimes the omen will appear and go dark red as if you're taking mad damage but I'm pretty sure you cannot actually be killed there. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Answering question "What would you do with the bodies". There is NO indestructible things. It means everything can be destructed in some way. What I would do - is form a team of scientists to find a way of proper utilization of locust bodies (probably even making them into a fuel of some sort, considering they are a product of immulsion influence). Because left them to rot somewhere - is just stupid.

18:25 couldnt you just drop the construction part from the crane above him on him? I never played this game so I dont know if there are enviromental kills apart from exploding barrels but that seems like you could shot the construction part to drop it on him :-)

The game crashes for me so much I have abandoned it. The fix was to use an older Nvidia driver and now with a recent windows update for some reason I cannot install older drivers. Anyone else having the same issue?

Wait, there's an inconceivable mode? When did they add that? Insane at the museum was hard enough. Also, the circular tomb room was near impossible. I'd hate to play that on any harder difficulty. Wait a minute, you got hit by a Juvie and it didn't kill you? On Insane, it's a one hit kill with Juvies. Is this on Hard?
