They did it with the Ragers (whatever they’re name was from Judgement) Killed them off early E-Days due to them usually charging into the enemy when they went berserk. Im sure they’ll add afew locust variants that died off early as infantry in the first wave

Judgement had Ragers tht went extinct. Tactics had the Disciples and Zealots tht also went extinct. So they could repurpose those 3 into the game. Maybe pull from the old comics n books n bring out more Hollow creatures.

We’re definitely seeing the Ragers return A majority of that locust variant died super early on as they were among the first wave in the early days of E-Day Markza, breechshot, Booska and all those things in Judgement are hopefully returning so that we have a very large weapon pool

i really hope they do what halo 2 did letting us play as the other side like when we got to play as arbiter. raam shadow dlc was lit want more of that. ive recently been enjoying space marine 2 i thought to myself while playing that how much i actually feel like Raam, a massive unstoppable killing machine. well until marcus and dom lol be nice to see both sides of the war as the locus fight the lambent aswell.

Yes exactly that you get it Shadowking I believe that is ultimately another reason for The Coalition Studio to return to Emergence Day & the start of the Locust War in Gears of War E Day. Not only have the opportunity to bring Gears of War fans back to what made Gears so Classic, Iconic & Nostalgic altogether with playing as Young Marcus Fenix & Dominic Santiago fighting against the Locust Horde & giving us New Gears of War games set in the Locust War as mentioned in the video by Matt Searcy Creative Director at the Coalition saying they have 14 Years between E Day & Gears of War 1 meaning alot of story to cover with even more Gears of War games, but using all this as a learning experience to when they eventually return to Gears of War 6 which I believe if you watched my Story Theories videos could be a Swarm Emergence Day 2.0 with the New Swarm Queen Reyna being the return of Queen Myrrah soul awakening all of the Locust inside the Locust Burial Sites turned Swarm Hives to make sure Gears of War 6 in the future storyline is the game it needs to be

You must have never played Gears of War 2 then as the Locust Origins that started with the creation of the Sires at New Hope & then continued into Gears 5 has existed since 2008. Joshua Ortega the writer of the Gears of War 2 Campaign confirmed that the Locust Origins story has always existed in the original trilogy but as a mystery with clues for Gears fans to piece together. Gears 5 just came out right confirmed it, the only the part I believe that was added by The Coalition was Queen Myrrah having a Human daugther in Reyna Torres & her being taken away by her father Doctor Torres being an additional driving force reason for why Queen Myrrah & the first generation Locust escaped the Mount Kadar Lab facility underground into the Inner Hollows

No i did indeed play GOW2.All it said was that Sires were the FIRST locust they ever encountered.implying that they had encountered the Locust before E day.Again it was implied the New hope facility had some relation to the Locust.(the fan base had a few theories on that) The first time them being "children of miners"was brought up was in a novel around when 3 came out.Even then it says they escaped under ground roughly 100 years ago.( not from a lab 50 years ago)Plus that explanation was rejected by the fanbase at the time because it was dumb because 100 years is not enough time to make a unique culture and it does not explain what the Kantus are.
