The locust are enhanced humans like they are basically like the first comment said super soldiers I like the fact they are sticking to the lore locust aren’t meant to be fought in close quarters due to their one enhanced physicality just the average drone is above 6ft or taller and they definitely are stronger than even mountains of men like barrick tai Cole etc then the fact they have extremely thick hides and eyesight that can see in total darkness in every way shape and form they literally are enhanced

Did you notice that delta squad members were way bigger than normal soldiers? I think cog did experiences on the best soldiers that turned them into huge strong super soldiers, Ben carmine and a bunch of others were way smaller than delta

I loved this trailer. No stupid music or silly humor, no cheesy dialogue like "It's good to see you again, Dom" or some shit like that. Just a dramatic fight with that sad underlying music and his buddy saving his life, while they both endure the apocalypse. Simply epic

I hope the rewards don't end up grinding to the point it feels like a job that you don't get paid on. Some of the stuff seriously just got ridiculous as hell. They need to make sure they dial back on that moving forward. Of some of the stuff is going to take a year to get. They need to make damn sure they make the game fun every step of the way.

@@CaffeinatedAlien I was able to forgive Gears 4 and 5 for that. It uses 3 new protagonists that never got to experience the full horror of the Locust horde. Hell by the first Gears game the COG had been fighting the Locust for 14 years! Even by Gears 5 James and Co are still green by comparison. After the ending of 5 though you can tell no matter which ending is the true ending you know Gears 6 set itself up to be super dark. Here's hoping.

Gears are supposed to be the biggest and baddest of humanity, Marcus being close to the biggest and baddest of them all. And yet, he still gets ragdolled by what is basically some random, mass-produced drone. It truly shows how physically dominant the Locust are.

Man, the calm, gentle vibes given off when Marcus and Dom reunite, is everything. Dom gives Marcus security and safety and you can feel it when Dom is watching him put on his Do-Rag

Really puts a spin on how we see the Locust. These guys are actual monsters, 7ft tall (A bit more than 2 meters or so) built like body builders, but absolutely able to use that strength effectively in a fight. The Gears should absolutely struggle in close quarters with them, especially if it go's hand-to-hand.

Seeing Marcus get tossed around like a rag-doll was...disturbing. But seeing him triumph in the end was inspiring. Sure, we all KNOW the locust are just that much bigger and stronger than humans, but Sgt. Fenix get manhandled just drives home what a brutal struggle the locust war is, and E-Day took place 14 years before the events of GoW 1. It just shows what a badass Marcus and the other Cogs are for having survived so long against such a horrifying and merciless enemy.

I love how strong they make the locust look and feel. They were a force to be reckoned with for sure but then so were we. Even playing on hardcore and insane you could still hold your own. But here the locust picking up Marcus like nothing and basically almost kicking his ass with just his brute strength and bare hands is crazy and that's exactly how the locust are explained in the books and throughout the game which we needed to see not just hear

I remember when I bought this game on Christmas, I didn’t know anything about it. Now I am pushing 30 and I am brought back to the whole nostalgia of Gears 1-3 and all the replays I did throughout the years. Incredibly fun times, can’t wait to play this one!!

Marcus only served 4 years in prison before Dom got him out in Gears 1. This means Marcus fought the locust for 10 years before he was jailed. Unlikely a game called E-Day is going to squeeze 10 years of time in. That would also mean we wont get more pre-Gears-1 games, which would be a bad business decision.

I hope we see Aspho Fields and Carlos. Seeing Marcus and Carlos in armor like the "Aspho Fields" book cover, seeing Anya's mother die, seeing Tai be the ultimate badass, and seeing Carlos go down fighting to save his brothers... THAT'S the pivotal moment of Gears lore. And Gears 4 only showed a sanitized form of Dom's side of it (and in Hoffman's defense, since it's his flashback, the man's old and he's been through a million successful missions that overlap in memory).
