I hope the final cutscene leads to Marcus disobeying orders to save his dad and leads to him getting imprisoned like he is in the beginning of gears of war 1 Edit: I just remembered gears of war 1 is 14 years after E day and he’s been locked up for 4 of those years. So unless they plan to take stuff from the comics (or that mission from Gears of war judgment) then it should show origins of other characters or something like they did with the hive busters

@TheDragon975 that could work, though this is just my thoughts (and I could be wrong). But in another case, they would wanna take their time with the collection. I mean, I'm pretty sure the coalition wants to avoid another halo mcc situation, but for gears of war. So they probably would release e-day first like how mcc started with halo reach for the PC. Again I could be wrong idk what they'll do but we'll see when that time comes. For now we are just speculating

SOFT reboot. Basically what was done with halo infinite. Continue the story, but write out the things that failed with gears 5

Gears of war was announced 2005 then released 2006. Gears of war 2 announced in Feb 20th 2008 by Bleszinski during game developer conference then got released on Nov 7th 2008. Gow 3 first trailer was Ashs to ashs 2010 April the game got released 2011 September. Gow 4 got announced 2015 E3 then released 2016. Gow 5 2018 then released release 2019 September. I think gears of war E-day could be released later this year or early 2025 just what think. ⚙️

@@jimmysarva7864 bear in mind it's only been in full development since late 2022 when TC canned their 2 other UE5 projects to ramp up production on e-day. maybe they will tide us over with a remastered collection while we wait, though they're prob saving that for the 20th anniversary.

I believe there is some proof of a Gears Collection in the last couple of months they updated the soundtracks to include the new logos for both Xbox and the Coalition. I noticed it in Gears 3.

I can see it now. Gears: E Day is gonna be told in flashback form, where Marcus is remembering the nightmare that was E-Day, leading into where he’s at currently in the Swarm War after Gears 5, where the nightmare that was the Locust Horde evolved into the Swarm, leading into Gears 6.

I'd be fun if for the first few acts you use the MK1 Lancer with the bayonet and then Halfway through the incident with Tai using the power saw against a locust drone happens and you slowly switch to the more well known MK2 Lancer with the Chainsaw Bayonet, first with select groups (including Marcus as he was one of the people who helped make it) and then by the end it replaces the MK1 as the standard issue rifle for everyone.

This is the greatest news I’ve ever heard and seen in so long!! I have always love this series through the highs and lows, I never cared what they did as long as they kept it alive but with this news of E Day? It was spectacular, I love Gears Of War it’s always going to be the greatest game franchise ever to me and I’ll defend that title forever, so we are eating good once again my fellow gears!!! P.S. I hope they come out with a Xbox Series X Limited Edition Console, that’s the only time I’ll ever buy that console!

I personally hope we could get 1 chapter of other characters experiencing E Day. Like one chapter could be Cole trying to get home. Like the entire time it him sneaking by the locusts since he doesn’t have a weapon.(but if he does get a weapon, at most it should be the snub.) and it ends with him tragically finding his mom dead. Or a Chapter of Paduk during the fall of Gorasnaya. Seeing him fighting desperately for his home and seeing Karn destroying it.

Honestly, I REALLY hope we get the Gears trilogy on PC after this game comes out. It would make a TON of sense. New players play the newest game and then want to continue the story, 1-3 and then 4-5. Hopefully it happens.

Kinda sounds like they're handling E-day like they did Judgement. Where characters from E-day will pop up in Gears of War 6, like how Paduk from Judgement popped up in Gears of War 5.

I just found your channel, and I’m really enjoying the Gears content, man! I personally don’t foresee the release of GoW E-Day in 2025. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce the rumored GoW Collection sometime this year or during next year’s showcase in June. Another possibility could be a surprise announcement during this year’s Gamescom in August or during The Game Awards. It would make a lot of sense for E-Day to be slated for a 2026 release, especially considering the leaked ABK documents that suggest Xbox is planning to release a new console in 2026. Considering the graphical fidelity E-Day is pushing, I have a hard time believing it could run on current-day Xbox hardware at that fidelity while maintaining 4K @ 60fps, but then again, maybe with some scaling tech and whatnot, they might get it to work on Series S and X.

I hope it goes back to 2 player co-op. I know 4 player is awesome. But I think focusing on Markus and Dom's journey is important. I'm not sure they'd have Jack/ a robot buddy with them. Just 2 soliders navigating a nightmare.

Hey, @KingAbzTV, I'm a new subscription to your channel (I'm from Brazil) and I grew up playing Gears Of War (I'm 29 now) and always played with my identical twin brother as Marcus and Don. We're even replaying now (finished Judgment and Shadow of Ram DLC with our best friend yesterday night). I just wanted to ask: in your opinion, would you prefer E-Day as 2 player or 4 player co-op? The atmosphere is a lot heavier with 2 players, but playing with friends besides me and my brother is too awesome, so, although I prefer 4 players, I'm a little conflicted. PS: your content is awesome. Keep up the good work

i've not played any of the gears of war games, but after watching the lore videos about Gears and the development history, i feel like the series followed the same path as halo once did, with the first 3 games being the best of the series and a perfect conclusion, microsoft buys the rights to the game, makes more games (gears 4 and 5), poor reception just like halo 4 and 5 and now they are making a prequel game just like halo reach and if they do it right, it could become a beloved title.
