Helped my friend in Jamaica build a mid engine k truck using a MR2 mk1 engine and tranny .....turbo charged.....275 HP short shifting and coasting( was running a 12sec bracket class)ran 11.7 and has pulled wheelies on falken Azenes tires....fun truck......

I had an idea. And I'd be all right with this truck using it. Instead of the typical "crotch rocket" engine... maybe do something out the norm that gives it a super unique sound and powerband.... like a large displacement Ducati, or the Harley Revo Max 1250.

Love the build, would love to see how the truck goes with a proper engine. Most stock Kei trucks are super sketchy at speed, but to see how planted that was is impressive. It also shows you don't have to have monster hp to have fun on a track.

my unit had a bunch of these (daihatsu left hand drive) we used as flight line/shop trucks. I would pick-up and deliver parts with ours that we nick named "the da-hat-rack" lol. I always envisioned one lowered with wide tires but this is way beyond what I ever dreamed, oh they have extend cab versions

Seeing how Fragile K Trucks are in crashes, This Needs a front outer or inner roll cage to from prevent the front from crushing you against the seat in the event of a front end shunt. LOVE the looks of the build Otherwise :)
