I don't think this game made much noise back in the day, I also pretty much missed it. There is also a third game, which I should have a look at. But it's not on the ST or even the Amiga...

I had both IKARI WARRIORS and VICTORY ROAD for my Amiga 500. IKARI WARRIORS is still a retrospectively brilliant Arcade conversion 😺👍🕹️. Even mostly for the 2-player mode with a friend 🐱👍🕹️🕹️. Back in the early 2010's, i saw VICTORY ROAD (CiB) for the Amiga at a finnish 🇫🇮 website, and it cost only 3€. The former owner said at the website, that the game didn't work. At the first try, it didn't work on my Amiga 500 with the 1MB expansion RAM memory, but after i switched it off, the game worked normally 🐱👍🕹️. The loading screen is pretty cool 😺👍, and Fred Gray plays an excellent cover version of the music 🎵🎶 😺👍, but the gameplay 🕹️... OH MY MEOWING GOD 😹!!! IT... WAS... ABSOLUTELY... FRUSTRATING 😹!!! I even noticed the same problem on the Atari ST 😹🤘🕹️. Thank you 😸😺👍🕹️.

Yeah, it's not the worst arcade conversion, but given how the arcade original felt pretty weak too. It ends up being a pretty big meh!

Unfortunately, the sword is pretty useless. It's a shame because it could have been really cool if it were like 3 times longer. Imagine slicing through swathes of enemies like that! Oh well. Anyway, a lot of people were confused by the weird science fiction theme of Victory Road, but I thought it looked really cool.

Yeah, the fact that you could slice through enemies made it better. But absolutely, size matters! 😁 I am not a huge fan of the visuals of the original, doesn't look bad it just... looks somewhat off and not a fan of the colour palette either. The rock boss looks kind of cool though! 😁

I wonder if I didn’t play this game ("the third in the series" ? ) wondering what was the connection with Ikari Warriors... (a Speccy port? but of course, we would like to see! :D )

Hey Mats. I'm just saying this because it's about halfway through October. Let me give you some Horror I love alot. Even if you don't have time for that stuff much, whenever you do it's for you to know about and I hope you enjoy anyway. Ok, here I go. Nightbeast 1982, Chopping Mall 1986, Ticks 1993, Mosquito 1995, Ice Cream Man 1995. And last I'll say The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2 from 1974 and 1986. There's plenty more, but that's what I chose to share with you. Happy Halloween!

I have seen TCM 1 & 2, the second one is bonkers fun, loved Dennis Hopper in it! The others I haven't seen, will add them to the list! Love me some horror flix!

This game feels like what would happen if I myself wrote a game as a kid (poor graphics, dull gameplay, unoriginal concept and lacking charm). I think Ikari Warriors the first game had way more feeling of fun gameplay, you could use the tanks there!

It needs more speed, better movements and controls. With that, it could’ve been much better. Of course, I would prefer a different colour palette amd some other things, but the essential mechanics for an enjoyable gameplay aren’t here.

It does have potential and it's pretty accurate compared to the original. But the original didn't really click with me either...

One of the nastiest arcade conversions on Atari ST and Amiga! I literally couldn't make any progress in this, because I found the controls and gameplay cumbersome and dreadful! Not to mention the piss colour palette.

I never saw this in the arcades and I think this sequel is garbage. The original arcade game was and is fantastic. The ST version, I feel, was rushed with little investment.

Man, this game got butt-ugly ports on Atari ST and Amiga. Time Soldier was much better in that regard
