FULL VIDEO: Thru-Hiking Sweden's 800+ Mile Gröna Bandet

Last summer, Utah-based hiker (and previous GEAR:30 employee) Bryden Bowley set out to thru-hike Sweden's Gröna Bandet or "green ribbon," an 808-mile trek to the northernmost border of Sweden, Norway, and Finland. On September 20th, he became the third American to ever complete the route.

Impressive to see you are walking in light running shoes. Why not real leather hiking boots?

Weight, apparently 100g weight saving on your feet compare to something like 500g in your backpack. And if you have a light backpack like around 10-13kg you really don't need sturdy hiking boots.
